It was OK.

It was my first cruise, so the expectations were high. Starting with the good points: the ship is gorgeous and the shows were awesome. The crew and overall organization were great, as the live music in the lobby. I went with my 13-year-old daughter and she enjoyed being in a Disney environment, being childish again, and at the same time dressing up for the night events and youth activities. ...

For those who want the ULTIMATE cruise experience, this is it! My family booked this room and we were absolutely ENTHRALLED! The room is appointed very nicely and all the little touches add up. Spa quality shampoo, conditioner, sun burn lotion, etc just add to an already overwhelming room. The fridge is stocked with your requests (we had whole milk, 1% milk, chocolate milk, Coke, Dr Pepper, Root ...

Our family of 4 just returned from a 3-night cruise on Disney Dream. Kids are 4 and 7 and we all had an amazing time. We booked the family room on level-9 with large porthole. Everyone enjoyed the porthole and we even saw a dolphin as we were leaving Port Canaveral. The entire Disney staff is wonderful. We utilized the kids club 1-2 hours each day. I am very impressed with how they keep up with ...

We are not cruisers and only had one non Disney cruise experience prior to this which left negative thoughts on cruising. We thought we would give Disney a try since we enjoy the parks. We had very high expectations based on others telling us how great it will be. Our expectations were so high we thought they possibly could not be met. We were so impressed with the cruise that we would go back in ...

My family and I sailed on the Disney Dream on March 20-23 2015 and it was an amazing trip. The service, food, and shows are amazing. Also, Disney's private island, Castaway Cay, is beautiful. We stayed in a category 5A room on the Starboard side of the ship and had an amazing view of Castaway Cay. The room was spacious for 3 people and could easily handle 4. We enjoyed every single minute of this ...

This cruise had all generations represented for our family and all first-time cruisers except for me; we had 70 somethings, 60 somethings, 40 something couple with 2 girls, ages 6 and 7, 20 something, and 30 something couple with a 6-month old infant. We all had a blast! This cruise was great, and frankly, too short. I think we needed another day on the ship. Everyone had something to do, and ...

Great time on Disney Dream

There were many things to like about this short "introductory" Disney Cruise. It wasn't perfect, but it did incite us to want to go for another cruise next year What I liked: Excellent service by state room attendant and the waitstaff at the restaurant. Food quality was best on first night (Animator's Palate) and would rank as average on other nights. Food at Cabana's (pretty much all day ...

We took our grandchildren on the same cruise last year. This year their ages were 10 and 7. Bothe time we booked two separate cabins one for the grandchildren and one for us. Great idea if you can afford it. We generally do not splurge when it comes to hard earned money. The rooms were booked early enough to be adjoining with an inside door connecting them. Did not get a veranda room since we felt ...

Overpriced and overrated

Disney Dream is not designed properly for masses of passengers it carries. Public areas are always overwhelmingly crowded, pools, buffet and even elevators. Rooms were very comfortable but once you stepped out into the hallway the nightmare started. Narrow long hallways always had housekeeping carts and food trays on the floor no matter what time of day, add people passing from opposite direction ...

Day 1 – Orlando (WDW Port Orleans-Riverside Resort) to Port Canaveral Transfers and embarkation – we purchased transfers with our cruise. We received a letter in our room the night before with meeting instructions for the next morning. We had to have our luggage ready by 8:30 a.m. the morning of departure for pick up the cruise line. The DCL rep phoned morning of departure with reminder of where ...
