Great Cruise for First Timers

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Celebrity Reflection

We joined this cruise with family who are frequent cruisers, though for us it was our first. Our experienced Canadian cousins were more than happy to initiate us into the intricacies of shipboard life and it didn't take long for us to get used to it. The ship itself is beautiful and in pretty good shape given I understand it's about due for a renovation. It was clean and everything worked, ...

Was just on Ascent sailing and came on this and what a shock to the system! While cost cutting was apparent on Ascent compared to last year's sailing on Apex, it is beyond comprehension how this once fine line has fallen from grace. Feel like I've gone from Ritz Carlton to Motel 6. Even the crew is like what the hell? I've been on over 50 cruises of which many have been on Celebrity, I have ...

We Love Celebrity Reflection

Celebrity Reflection is a gorgeous ship with its dark woods and beautiful atrium. We booked in The Retreat and we LOVED every aspect of it. Embarkation was seamless and very friendly with no lines. We had immediate access to our suite to put down our luggage and then we hit Michael’s Club for a drink until lunch at Luminae. In addition to the excellent bar service, there is a self-serve ...

Wife and I just completed our third sailing on the Reflection ('17,'18. Sailed back-to-back Apex/Equinox in '19) and first cruise since the pandemic. Wow, have things changed (just like everything else in the U.S.) compared to just 4,5 years ago, and not for the best, IMO. Pros: Ship was virtually the same. Clean, well-maintained, but there did seem to be a strong urine smell from the ...

Older ships being overlooked

We are avid cruisers however this cruise was our first time back since the Pandemic. We have cruised Celebrity many times and have been on the Reflection a few years ago. Arrived at our scheduled time of 12 noon and things went smoothly. We were on the ship quickly. Many crew members there to greet guests however no direction was given at all. We found our cabin which was not ready and ...

Captain Kirk Rocks the Reflection!

Took this 6 night Western Caribbean trip offered by Blue Chip Club Casino. Our two previous Celebrity cruises were in Aqua Class, this one in a Veranda stateroom. Missed the Blu restaurant, but was not disappointed at all with main dining room Opus. Great excursions, plenty of entertainment, and a great staff to make you feel special. Best surprise of all was having Capt Kirk grab a stool and ...

Perfect 35th Anniversary!

We chose this cruise for our upcoming 35th Anniversary. Even though we had been to some of the ports in the past, there were excursions that were new to us. The ship was in very good shape, and we found the staff wonderful. Our cabin steward, Keshav was probably the best we've ever had, he took very good care of us. Rene, the head butler gave us a very nice bottle of champagne to celebrate ...

Off the Reflection Thanksgiving cruise. Understandably, it’s a holiday cruise that is overbooked, completely full and with many kids, so not like sailing on half empty ship during the off season. However, there were some major organizational and service misses. Will start with positive: embarkation and disembarkation were easy and fast. Food was good in MDR and acceptable in the buffet. ...

We had been on Celebrity Equinox and Solstice before. This was our first time on the Reflection. Overall, it was a very clean and relaxing cruise. There was a huge variety of food in the buffet--the Oceanview Cafe. The quality, for the most part, was very good. I especially enjoyed the extensive Indian and vegetarian options. The main dining room food was good, for the most part, but ...

After several Oasis class cruises, tried Celebrity for the first time on the Reflection

We had been on the Vista, Symphony, Adventure, Mardi Gras and Wonder 2x in the past 5 years, so we decided to take a run at Celebrity, which is RCL's "luxury" line. We're a young 64 and 63 but wanted a more refined cruise with better food to see if we'd like it. The answer is me, yes. Wife, no. I liked the more traditional setup of the ship, where my wife likes the wide open, bright colors, ...
