Not a bad cruise, but definitely our least favorite ship

We generally prefer good views of the ocean, a chair in the sun for some drinks by the pool and a few activities to enjoy while onboard. We didn't love the layout of this ship as everything felt alot more enclosed than other ships we've sailed on. Views were often restricted and the dining rooms felt small with their low ceilings and cramped seating vs the multi floor dining rooms on the other ...

Wife and I celebrated our 32nd anniversary on this trip which was our first Alaska cruise and it was amazing! Enjoyed everything on the ship but agree that the food at the buffet does get bland after a couple visits. We did buy the 3 extra dinners package and ate at the steak place (delicious), Italian (ok) and Japanese spot and it was good. Nice change of place from the usual buffet. Nice the ...

Just got back from Alaska on the Quantum of the Seas, from June 26th to July 3rd. This is going to be an extensive review of the entire vacation, including the ship, meals, entertainment, and the ports. If you are looking to book a cruise on RCA Quantum, this will be your source of real information. We flew into Seattle two days before the cruise and stayed at the Hyatt Regency. Since we ...

Bait and switch- never again

We booked our cruise later than most, in march 2023. We paid for the insurance. We booked a cruise to that included skagway as that is a bucket list destination. In May, the cruise changed our port due to landslides that happened a year prior. They waited to change the destination to lock people into the cruise. Even with our insurance, we would have had to forfeit 75% of the paid cost to ...

So we started in Seattle. Boarding super easy. Fast forward. June 5-12th Alaska Cruise I want to start off by saying I am not new to cruising. I have traveled the world, and been on numerous cruises including Royal Caribbean. This was the worst cruise I have ever been on. I will start out with the positive. The staff was amazing!. My housekeeper was sweet, respectful and did a ...

As a former Cruise Directress on board the QE2, I've had many years of working and sailing aboard various ships. Also, career with Marriott Hotels & Resorts, JW and Ritz Carlton so lots of experience working with chefs & kitchens. Previously, sailed on the Freedom of the Seas in 2013 and 2015.. Also on the Allure in 2017. Didn't expect a lot from RC but was pleasantly surprised at their quality of ...

We've been on many cruises in the past and we were leary to come back to cruising after Covid but we were assured of the strict check in health protocols of which there were none. We had a 2 pm check in time which was ridiculous to have to wait that long. No one even checked your time when you got there. Ship is beautiful especially the Solarium. Solarium Bistro was also great and much better for ...

We chose this cruise because another couple wanted to take an Alaskan cruise and we had done one last year. We also wanted to try a larger ship since the biggest we had previously been on was the Independence. While the ship has good visibility at the front and the back with the solarium and 2Seventy the rest of the ship is blocked with retail stores which makes it feel closed in. We feel we ...

RUINED CRUISING FOR US

We figured this would be a really nice ship, we were so wrong! the jr suite we stayed in was right below the windjammer and so all hours of the night we could hear them cleaning. The beds are so hard we may as well be sleeping on the floor. They will even roll housekeeping carts down the halls at like 2am. There were hardly any activities and most of the shows were boring. We saw only one good ...
