The embarkation and disembarkation was very quick maybe 15 minutes tops. The entertainment was awesome. Suzanny had one heck of a voice, beautiful. I enjoyed all the shows but I think my favorite was the comedian. Food in the Mdr was really good but wish you didn't have to pay extra for lobster, and surf and turf. The windjammer had good food also but it was so busy and crowded. The made to order omelets were delicious. My only complaint was the 300 girls celebrating their quinceanera that blocked the stairways. I enjoyed the solarium pool for adults only. We went to the park cafe nightly for the pizza and fruit cups. The ship was definitely showing her age. There was rust on the floor of our balcony and the cover around the flush button on our toilet kept falling off but it was clean and they were painting and doing alot of maintenance on the ship. I would definitely sail on the Emerald again Read Less

Sailed 7/9 on Enchantment of the Seas. This was a cheap 4 night cruise on an older ship so our expectations were not sky high. I'm not going to write a long review, I'll just give you all a few bullet points: My Party - 4 adults, 2 kids. Between the 6 of us we have been on ~60 cruises The Ship - The ship was clearly older and you could tell immediately upon boarding, however, once inside the ship didn't disappoint. The crew did a great job cleaning and the ship was clearly well maintained. I found the ship to have plenty of things to do, including entertainment, I rated it a 4/5 Dining - The main dining room was memorable for my cruise group. The staff did an incredible job of providing service to my party. They always provided extra special attention to detail that was beyond what we normally experience. The food was very good but was not a highlight. Service - Overall the service on-board the ship from the state-room attendants, casino staff, bartenders, and especially the dining room staff made this a very enjoyable trip. The ship is older so you have to calibrate your expectations but the staff on board make this a strong recommend from me. Read Less

This was our second cruise, with our first one being almost seven years ago. Royal Caribbean did everything in their power to make it smooth, easy, and relaxing from start to finish. Embarkation - fast and easy. Once they started boarding the ship, they had comfortable lounges for us to relax and have a refreshing drink in while we waited for our staterooms to be ready. Disembarkation was also fast and easy. We did not have any checked bags, so we were able to leave the ship and go through customs without any delays. The ship itself was very well-maintained. We did not utilize any of the formal dining options, instead opting to eat in the Windjammer for all of our meals (with an occasional trip to the Solarium for light meals). The dining areas were all clean, and the crew was definitely on top of making sure tables were cleared in a timely manner so that there were enough places for everyone to sit. There was an ample selection of food - such a variety that my picky children were always able to find something they liked (of course, it helped that cheeseburgers and hot dogs were always options). If you want to drink soda, it might be worthwhile to check out the soda package - otherwise, you will pay over $4 for one can of soda. I don't know if this is a common issue, but as we got near the end of the cruise, the soda machines were all running very low or were completely out of all the popular types of soda. Even with the soda package, you are paying more for soda than you would if you went to the grocery store, so to have times when there was no soda available was disappointing. We found out very late that we could always go to a bar on board the ship to refill our soda containers, so if this happens to you, that's what we recommend you do. Otherwise, there was plenty of delicious food and drink to be had by all! We liked to go to eat during nonpeak times, because it was much more peaceful and much less crowded. :) There were four of us (two adults, two kids), and we had two adjoining rooms. I cannot say enough about how friendly, responsive, and eager-to-please the stateroom attendants were (and really, every crew member on the ship was the same way). The attendants addressed us by name from day one, and they did a fabulous job of keeping our cabins clean. They had a knack for knowing when we were out, because somehow, they always had everything done so that when we came back, we entered a clean, tidy, well-kept room. The cabins were small, but we did not expect them to be huge. We had oceanview cabins, and having had that, I'm not sure we could ever go back to cabins without the ocean view. It made such a huge difference, being able to wake up to sunshine streaming in to our rooms. That said, there are curtains you can close that would prevent the sunshine if you want to sleep in later. We are big World Cup fans, and planned this cruise without realizing it would happen during the semifinals. Luckily, the TVs in the rooms aired the games (and our excursions were timed perfectly!), and we got to watch them. Even if the TVs in the rooms didn't air the games, though, they were on in the sports bar on the ship. How nice that RC recognized that people might want to see these games! There is plenty to do on the ship outside of watching football, too. :) We booked a couple of excursions (highly recommend the Dolphin Encounter at Blue Lagoon in Nassau!!), so we were busy for two of our cruise days, but RC provides you with a newsletter every evening telling you everything going on the next day/night. There were a lot of items on that list! There were dance parties, trivia games, and swimming in the pool; there was a casino; there was always something happening. We did not see any of the shows, so cannot say anything about the quality of those. Speaking of the pool, our kids were a bit disappointed in the size of the pool. There were actually two pools on the top deck, and both were very small. There were four hot tubs around the pool, but very rarely were all open at the same time. The kids managed to have a good time anyway, of course, but when there were a lot of people around, those pools and hot tubs filled up very quickly, and there was not a lot of room to maneuver. One cool thing, though, was that they had a huge screen on the same deck as the pools, and they showed movies on them in the evening/at night. It was nice to let the kids swim while we had a drink and relaxed in lounge chairs watching a movie (and the kids, of course). :) Our daughter, who is a young teenager, commented that the movies they chose to show were not necessarily family appropriate, and she was right. There was a lot of action/violence/cursing in at least one of the movies, and they showed that movie more than once. We could understand if those movies were shown later in the evening, but it was only 5:30 or so. It didn't bother us because our kids are not tiny anymore, but I could see not enjoying the pool experience if someone were there with small kids during a movie. Overall, we were most impressed by the friendliness and attitude of every single crew member we encountered. Not one acted like they were having a bad day, and that made all the difference in our experience. We are looking forward to trying some of the other ships that Royal Caribbean has to offer, and would definitely sail on this one again! Read Less

We really enjoyed this cruise. While the ship is older, the condition was fine, and very clean. The staff and crew were so friendly and made the whole cruise a fun adventure. Bobby the cruise directer was fantastic and made the on board activities so much fun with his enthusiasm. He also publicly acknowledged the diverse staff and their hard work on the cruise which was very nice, and made everyone feel like a big cruise family. We loved the diversity of the people from all over the world taking this cruise and made friends from India, Spain and many other countries. The food in the main dining room was not that great, and the service was slow so we ended up eating in windjammer for almost every meal - we thought it was better quality and were able to get in and out quickly and at more flexible times. We had dinner at Chops one night and it was worth the extra money - very good food, quiet atmosphere, and great service. There were a lot of extra things they tried to up sell us on - drink packages, photos, etc. We did not get the drink package and were thankful we didn’t because just didn’t even come close to spending that much on alcohol. (Paid as we went). Overall we had a wonderful, relaxing vacation with just the right the balance of fun activities and relaxation. Read Less

We booked this cruise because it was the closest port to home and we were looking for a quick getaway. The staff is wonderful! Always willing to help in anyway. However, the ship is older and needs a bit of an upgrade. We had a baby with us which made it a little more difficult. Wish we had booked a bigger cruise boat with more activities. It was clean as the staff were constantly cleaning. The food was just good but not great. But I'm sure it's hard cooking for 2300+ people. The drinks were delicious and they were very generous on the alcohol proportion. The main dining room had good food and good service. My husband lost his wallet with 875 in it and every dollar was returned. We rented a bungalow in Cococay and it was so relaxing and much needed with a small child. I recommend to anyone with an infant. Food will be delivered to your bungalow and towels offered(less u have to carry on/ off the ship). And the bathrooms there were cleaned every hour. Downside to the bungalows are the water there is very shallow. Read Less

Check in was a breeze. Very Clean and sanitized ship. Staff was friendly but overworked therefore they were less attentive to guests. Recreation staff and Spa Staff were amazing! Ship offers good spa deals for guest. The entertainment singers and preformers were TOP NOTCH. We enjoyed the dancing, sitting and listening to music, bar hopping and night activities. Bahamas is pretty and we did a guided Nassau tour. Driving is not for the faint of heart. CocoCay was beautiful but HOT. The island staff their were RUDE and could care less about guest. Parasailing was a Fun excursion and worth the money. Take your own snorkel gear...to rent is $35 person. Food was ok... nothing spectacular. Also, food is not offered all night like other cruises that we have been on. :( There was no late night ice cream. Drink cards were a good investment. I noticed a lot of guest were confused on drink cards, food, and formal night; so staff needs to do a better job being available to answer questions and guidence. My rating is low because there was No security noticed on the ship! Unrudely guest got out of hand and one pulled his pants down at dinner! This guest should had been handled by the security at the beginning of the the cruise; but was ignored. It was a great deal as far as price; but won’t be taking this ship again. Read Less

As a first time cruiser, I really enjoyed the entertainment on the ship. I met some wonderful people. The staff was amazing!!! They were kind and respectful towards the guests. Although their jobs were very challenging, dealing with difficult guests, the staff members remained humbled, willing to serve with a smile on their faces. In addition, there was always something to do to keep the guests entertained. I couldn't attend a lot of the events because I was getting some much needed rest. All the events I went to were fun filled and amazing. Cococay, Bahamas was my favorite place to visit. It was more relaxed than Nassau, Bahamas. Cococay would be a place I would go for relaxation and Nassau would be a place to visit if I want the busy life while on vacation. Nassau reminds me of New York City, a more busy atmosphere. Overall, I enjoyed my cruise and am ready to plan another cruise❤️ Read Less

This cruise was awful. The ships decor looked like an old Las Vegas casino. Horrible and outdated. Our room was dingy and very small. Cigarette burns in the furniture. The bed felt like a board with a blanket on it for padding. The food was really bad. All carbs in the Windjammer. Nothing in the food was outstanding. We purchased deluxe drink packages yet very little good quality alcohol was available. You have to sign a receipt for every drink you purchase. So you spend several hours in bar and still have to sign each receipt. The description of excursions was not what we got. We rented two bungalows...$600.00 a piece. it indicated that we would have waiters and that food would be served there. we had no waiters...had to walk down beach to bar. and lunch was the same. and OMG the food was horrible. The hamburgers they served were soaking in water precooked and thrown on the grill when you ordered them to warm them up. Some seafood was served and would not eat... was not cooked completely. Then, We went to Nassau for a port of call. We expected to shop and eat lunch in a restaurant. It was a slum! beggars and continued harassment walking down the street sidewalk. Every shop had the same crap. We and everyone else that went to the town turned around and went back to the ship for safety. The ship was the Enchanted Sea...avoid at all cost. Use another line... this was the worst!! I could go on and on...but will say that I will NEVER go on a Royal Carribean cruise again. First and last one. Read Less

I have been on many cruise ships and I personally think this was one of the best experiences I’ve had. The entertainment on board exceeded my expectations and one show in particular I will NEVER forget. The “Remembering Whitney” show performed by Stephanie was OUTSTANDING! Best I’ve ever seen. #divaoftheseas - I would come see your show again and again. Piercing voice and adorable personality! Royal Caribbean you did good on this one - She’s a keeper for sure!! Another great feature of this ship was the Casino and the Chops Grille. The casino staff were great and the food at the restaurant was unforgettable. I had a Filet that melted in my mouth. OMG, good. If you are thinking about booking this ship you won’t be disappointed if you do. Also getting on board was the fastest and easiest process that I had boarding any ship. Way to go Team Enchantment! I chose this cruise because it fit the timeline I was looking for. As a first time cruiser, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY by Royal Caribbean! The embarkation was much better than I could have imagined. The Main Dining Room dinner was beyond fantastic. Sharing a table with others was a great way to get to know fellow cruisers. I learned about the individuals as well as cruising in general. The shows were out of the world. Stephanie Parker and Michelle Balan were top notch. The Royal Caribbean entertainers made me feel like I was watch a broadway show. The activities staff was great at planning activities and making sure everyone was happy. The night time activies were varied depending on the type of music you liked. Spending July 4th on the cruise exceeded my expectations with the celebration. Cococay excursion was okay -if you want to go to beach and swim in the ocean, its great. Otherwise, its more for sitting in the shade with a drink. Nassau excursion was good. I added things on my own (three hour tour of various historical areas). I cannot compliment the staff enough! All staff was always pleasant and helpful. During Day 2, I went back from the excursion early, and had time to chat with staff (activities, bar, etc). They treated me like family. I would definitely go back!
