This cruise was to celebrate our mom's birthday. I booked us a junior suite which she loved. The rest of the family had interior rooms. The suite was beautiful however I only saw our room attendent once and that was because I hunted him down to ask for more towels, ice, coffee pods for coffee pot and menus for breakfast room service. These items are typically provided automatically. Water bottles are also typical however they were not provided in my room or my other family rooms. I always make it a point to get to know our stateroom attendent and always have had excellent service however this was not the case. The ship seemed a bit stingy with certain amenities. Half and half for coffee was only available in the main dining room. I asked for it in the windjammer and room service but was denied and provided with tiny containers of fake creamer. We all also paid for the drink package. The drinks are now being served in tiny cups and when you ask for a bigger glass they make it a point to tell you that just because you get a bigger cup doesnt mean you get more alcohol. There also seemed to be a shortage of bartenders at the busy pool bars with a max of 2 at each bar and sometimes just one serving a huge amount of people clamoring for a drink. The ship was very nice and clean on the inside however the outside was filthy and no windows were clean.....they were so dirty you could barely see out. Not once did we see any crew members cleaning the outside of the ship. I have always seen them doing this on other cruises. We wnt to the Atlantis aquarium excursion and We were very impressed and plan on going back. The casino on the ship was very clean and not too smoky. My son came home with an extra $900. Cococay jet ski was a blast like it always is. I will miss the serenity of the island once the new "theme park" is done. I doubt i will go back as i would prefer visiting an island not owned by the ship so they can nickel and dime me more. The changes to Cococay were not really necessary. All in all it was a good cruise and mom had fun which is what really matters. I dont think i would do this cruise again however and am hoping the stingy service was just on this ship and not a new implementation made on all the royal caribbean ships. Read Less

This was my first Royal Caribbean cruise and I was so excited about it. We departed on a Friday at 4 PM and came back on Monday at 8 AM from Port Canaveral. The boarding process was simple and easy. Other than that, what a disappointment. We were in an adjoining ocean view room on the 4th floor next to the elevators. The design of the ship is terrible as there was a walking track right above our heads. We could here people above us starting at 6 AM each morning. The design for the bathroom is bad too as the shower faces out into the entire bathroom and it's very easy to accidentally wet everything outside the shower. The shower curtain was also gross as it had pink mildew on the bottom of it. You also have to call room service to have ice delivered as well as a corkscrew delivered and this typically took between 30 - 45 minutes. This ship is old and in desperate need of maintenance and painting as it looks worn and dated. There were several light bulbs out in the solarium pool area along with tiles missing in the overall design of the space. The food was terrible. We had 8:30 PM dining each night and the food was ALWAYS cold and the salad was soggy. I know how difficult it is to prepare food for a high volume of people, but I've been on other cruises and never received cold food. The crew was not friendly. I don't believe I received a smile from a single crew member the entire cruise. The entertainment was so dated. It was catered to 55+ age group. I heard that this ship is going to be docked for repairs in May and even with this knowledge my disappointment remains the same. No matter what ship I go on, I expect for it to be well maintained and for the staff to be friendly especially when an 18% gratuity is tacked on for everything. Royal Caribbean lost me as a customer forever because of my experience. The two positives from my perspective was that the bed was very comfortable and our cabin steward did a nice job cleaning our room each day. Read Less

We obviously read the reviews on here, and knew that this was an older ship that didn’t have all the bells and whistles of some Of the newer mega ships. We sailed with some friends and 4 days was a perfect amount of time to set sail for both of us. The food, while restaurants were limited, was still great. The pizza is the best I’ve had at sea for a quick snack. Eko and Sharron in the main dining room were top notch and work very hard to please every guest. Our balcony cabin, although dated, was very efficient and served its purpose. Our room steward was fantastic. We were in 8570. We did find hot water scarce after day one, but warm was ok. Our ports were Nassau and cococay. Nassau we just wanted to check out briefly to see the shops and check out the beach. It was nice we were able to take our drinks for our short walk through the town before heading back to the ship to enjoy a pretty quiet pool deck and take advantage of our drink packages. Cococay was unreal. We had a cabana booked on the private beach area. It came with our own private bar, buffettt and beach. They were very strict to enforce people without VIP bracelets were not to come into the private area. The butlers were always available to get us drinks and the buffet food was awesome. BBQ fare, salads, steaks, kabobs desserts etc. We can’t wait to return to this island when it is no longer under construction as the projected layout and design of pools and the water park look unbelievable and the construction is well under way. The entertainment on the ship was great with lots to do every night for all tastes. The beverages were amazing and I would recommend the beverage package if you like to drink. It came with a chip activated cup to use at self serve Coca Cola machines to save lining up at a bar for a Soda or non carbonated coke or Minute Maid product. All the top shelf drinks are included in the deluxe package. Pool deck was pretty good, really busy on sea day, but that’s always the case. Lots of tables in the shade if you need it and lots of unused loungers in the shade. If you want a chair by the pool good luck. Pools weren’t very busy though even on sea day. Casino is nice... was hoping for a poker game but there wasn’t enough to play anytime I went in. Roulette and blackjack was good although I didn’t win. It is smoky though as most are at sea. Embark and disembarkment were unreal. We were pre booked in and basically walked on the ship stopping once to meet friendly staff to take our photos for our ID cards. Literally 10 mins on the ship. Coming off was a small line for self service walk off as we had to leave first to catch a flight and that was also a beeeze. All in all it was great value for an older ship. Yes you can see some wear and tear but that was expected as we did our due diligence reading the reviews here before booking. If you want new and shiny don’t book this cruise. If you want friendly staff and delicious food and drinks and a good time, come here. Read Less

My husband and I chose a short cruise on a small ship just to have a quick getaway from the freezing temperatures we have been experiencing this winter. Enchantment is clearly an older ship that could use some updating, but we had a great time and perfect weather. Port Canaveral is great, we love cruising out of this area as it is so laid back and easy to navigate. Took a shuttle from the rental car drop off and embarkation went smoothly. I enjoy a smaller ship in a lot of ways, and found the food to be much better quality than some larger ships I have sailed on. Not a lot of options for specialty dining but the main dining room was great, and service was good. There is a lot of wear and tear throughout the ship, usually one of my favourite places to spend time is the solarium but it could really use some updating. Around the ship it's easy to spot things like worn out carpet and marks on the walls, but if you are easygoing whatsoever it is easy to look past. The director and activities manager were great, Love and Marriage was hilarious as usual. We missed most of the shows due to our late dining time, but my husband really enjoyed the late night comedy show. We went to karaoke at Boleros almost every night which was a huge hit, lots of good singers for such a small ship! In Nassau we went on a snorkelling excursion, a small boat took us all to a reef off Athol Island. I really enjoyed it, my husband who is more of a pool than an ocean guy would have liked it better on a calmer day. The people running the tour were great. In Cococay we booked a spot on a private area of the island with two loungers and a shade. Lots of construction going on everywhere but it wasn't disruptive, we had a perfect beach day and saw stingrays and two small sharks while we were swimming which was very cool. Can't wait to see the island once all the construction is finished. We opted for early disembarkation which was a great choice, usually we sit around the ship without really being able to do anything for a couple of hours but we decided to try this and I'm so glad we did. Got off the ship early so the port was very quiet and quick, had our bags with us, and drove to Orlando and got some shopping in. Read Less

This cruise was from a supplier so it was a free trip. The main dining area was excellent. The drink package was included,so this was good. On the other cruises we have been on room service was included, not on this one. We had movies on the television all the time, not so on this one.The cruise entertainment just a way to stay busy again not great. The dinning experience was very good for this ship. Only thing missing was red wine vinegar for the salad. The food selection for a 3 day cruise was adequate. I recommend the formal dining for a slightly better variety. We really missed having in room movies to just lay in bed and watch. The ships activities need to be revamped. I thought the entertainment was set up more for college kids. Been there done that. Overall fun trip, just not one I would have paid for. Did not meet expectations. Read Less

Cruised with family on this four day trip. I wont go so far as to say, it wasn't bad, but I certainly expected more. We rented a Junior Suite and it was adequate with an excellent stateroom attendant named Daniel. The food was average, at best. The buffet food area was small and during dining hours, it was so crowded, you had to stand in a long line to get the dish you wanted. There was one small counter for deserts with little choices and wasn't worth the 5-10 minute line. This ship needs overhauled and updated. The windows were filthy and I never saw any attempt by the staff to clean them. Long lines always at guest services. The casino was also disappointing. Limited tables with none of the popular games like Let it Ride or Mississippi Stud. The staff was always friendly and helpful, so thumbs up to them. Read Less

We have sailed on my RCCL ships and have enjoyed all of our cruises This ship, however, needs to be taken out of commission for stem to stern maintenance and refurbishment. The hull is covered with rust. There is rust around many of the windows. The windows are dirty. The pool areas are grubby. The furniture in our cabin was shabby and gouged. The food aboard is typical for Royal Caribbean. Neither especially good or bad. One thing that is new is a $7.95 charge for each room service delivery, which is outrageous. Room Service used to be complimentary (except for overnight service) and this type of “nickel and dime” up charge diminishes the upfront pricing of a cruise. Fortunately the staff and the service are excellent, which mitigated our disappointment with the condition of the ship. We will absolutely sail with RCCL again. We have another cruise planned for April. But I suggest you steer clear of this ship until the company spends some time and money to make Enchantment if the Seas sparkle Read Less

This ship, while a bit dated is still a BEAUTIFUL ship! Very clean and the staff is super friendly!! The food was amazing whether dining all you can eat or choosing one of the specialty restaurants. We did choose one night at Chops Grill and it exceeded our expectations. Our jr suite was wonderful, comfortable and clean! The bathroom is spacious! We enjoyed every single minute of our cruise!!! We definitely love RCI cruise ships and will come back again!! Coco Cay is beautiful and easily accessible. We did purchase “the key” and it was well worth it! Very easy check in and boarding! Overall this cruise was excellent and relaxing! The staff really does go above and beyond to please! I would suggest purchasing packages for excursions and the “Key” before the day of the cruise, but they have better deals on drink and dinner packages once you board the ship. Be sure to pre-register online! Everything will go smoothly! Read Less

Just got back from a 3 night cruise. Overall we had a fantastic experience. This was our 4th cruise and first with RCL (2 Celebrity and a princess before). We are a 40 year old couple from the US. We plan to check out other RCL ships for a future cruise with our child. --we did the online pre-check in process. we ignored the time we were forced to choose for embarking and showed up early at 9:45am since that was when our hotel shuttle dropped us off - we got on the ship quickly and hassle free, roughly 10:45am. Windjammer didn't open until after 11:30 though.but we could stroll around and check things out. Very impressed how quickly we got on board!!! --our window room was comfortable had a ton of drawer storage. We couldn't get a balcony (they don't have many) so this was our option...next time I think we'd just do interior if the balcony isn't available as the window didn't really do much for us. Be aware that there is no fridge. Room was clean but showing some age here and there. room steward was polite and courteous. A few little things were off..like, no pen and pad of paper in the desk.... and our standard size suitcases did not fit under the bed so they sat on a chair, which was in our room for unexplained reasons..perhaps as a suitcase holder...?. --dinner in main dining room was quite good and our service was excellent. our wait staff got to know us and were really on point with their hospitality and menu recommendations. Husband ordered a steak from Chops on the last night, while we were in the main dining room. his medium steak came rare and bloody red. they sent it back and brought a new one that was medium on the ends but 100% pink/rare in the middle. he decided it wasn't worth sending it back again.. I was disappointed for him since he really loves steak and that was a special treat for him to enjoy on our last night. (as a business traveler who eats at expensive steakhouses, I think it would be fair to say he knows good quality steak and what "medium" looks like ....and this part of our experience was sub-par, esp since there was an up-charge--the lesser quality steaks served off the menu were cooked better!!! ) --breakfasts at windjammer could get a bit crowded.... or not, depending on the time that we went, but we always found a seat and could get what we wanted without too much wait. we liked getting omelettes made-to-order and found our food experience good there. -- disappointed that room service had just under $8 up-charge for lunch/dinner/late night dining choices. The only free breakfast items for AM delivery were things like cereal and toast, everything else was an up-charge. This was the first cruise we were on where there was a room service up-charge, which was a bummer. We loved having the option of room service on our past cruises. --not much for late night dining/snacks. no late night buffet in Windjammer, just some small items elsewhere. really bummed about this. --ship's windows were filthy. Our last 2 celebrity cruises, they had people cleaning windows and doing exterior maintenance every time the ship was in a port. there was soot on the windows the stern area. many of the windows had residue. many of the other spaces were clean but it was the little things...like dirty and moldy cup holders in the theater that tells me that this ship needs either a deep clean or a refurbishment. --it bothers me that there is no way to hear ship announcements in our room. I wish they had an opt-in where I could pick up the phone or turn the TV to a station to hear it. --entertainment and "fun" was good. there were more things to do in the later hours than the past celebrity cruises we had been on. Definitely more of a party vibe (which may or may not be good, depending on what you are looking for). Just be careful if you book a stateroom that is close to a bar, if you don't want to stay up late. We were on this cruise to have fun and it totally delivered. Upbeat, having-fun vibe everywhere. --downloaded the app but could not get it to work properly for me once we left Port Canaveral. --disembarking process was pretty good. long lines to go through customs for us once we got off the ship, but was otherwise as expected. Nassau --they cancelled our Pearl Island excursion due to "low participation". we were concerned when it didn't show up on our app a few days before, like our other booked tour, but no one notified us until we got on board. no email/cancellation notice which was irritating since then we had to make a new choice quickly (and clearly they had cancelled it before embarkation day). also irritated since they had advertised this tour on their program as a good choice and then cancelled it on us since it wasn't going to make them money....we did get a 10% discount on a new tour and the excursion staff was helpful in getting a new gameplan. Did the VIP beach experience at Blue Lagoon. Ultra private, less than 15 people in our area. Service and light lunch was good. Not a lot of swimming, area was pretty rocky. It was quiet and restful. But for the price, next time we will check out the other area on Blue Lagoon or try Pearl Island again. Our ride back to Nassau was delayed and we missed our 6pm dinner time. We were able to switch to an 8:45pm time w/o problems. Ride back to Nassau dropped us off in a busy area and we needed to walk through lots of street vendors to get back to the ship. It was a nice tour overall but I don't think the value was there for the $$$$ price we paid. Thought the beach at Coco Cay was better.... Coco Cay We did the Beach Loungers on Coco Cay. For $60 for two people, this was a great value as it gave us VIP bands and access to a separate beach area, shuttle service to the other area, a different bathroom, bar and service staff just for the cabanas and lounge renters. The floating Tiki bar was a riot. The beach was clean and the water was warm. There's construction going on but we could not hear it in our area. Will 100% do this again next time. It will be nice when you don't need to take the tender to shore, once the new pier is done. Overall-- we had a really good time. We were there to relax, have fun, eat too much and get some sunshine. I think this cruise delivered our wish list items and would go on it again. We plan to check out some of the newer RCL ships in the future, first. :) Read Less

Originally got a cruise voucher for taking a time share tour (horrible experience) so wasn’t sure what to expect. We paid extra to upgrade to a balcony room with drink package and stayed the night before in Port Canaveral. From the moment we showed up at RC’s cruise terminal until we boarded the large staff went out of there way to ease the process. We registered /checked in ahead of time and literally were thru security and on the ship in 30 minutes. Once aboard I could not believe how friendly and helpful the staff was. Being a smaller ship we found our way around quickly and were able to get our cabin mid afternoon where we met Dindo a wonderful cabin steward. That evening our waiters Yogi and Anou took great care of us for the duration of the cruise. Bobby the cruise director really made the cruise fun and full of laughter, don’t miss any of the events or shows he is a part of! His entertainment staff is very talented and supposedly RCI is bucking the trend of eliminating a live band/orchestra. Kudos also to Captain Larsen for deciding to sail the first day when a wind event prevented us from stopping at cococay. On the return trip the winds had died and we had a wonderful experience at the island with some excellent beach time and snorkeling off shore. The food on ship and shore was average and plentiful but it was the level of service that was over the top. All in all the crew (everyone from captain to drink cart guy) went out of their way to ensure a memorable time for these “newbies”! Others have bashed the ship for being rusty and dated which it is but the old girl has been around and it’s the crew that makes this ship a great first time experience! Can’t wait to get our feet wet again and yes it will be with Royal! Read Less
