Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Britannia

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary to the Mediterranean and possibility to do this in summer holiday period. We love to sail from Southampton because of its variety of destinations (last year we did cruise from Southampton to Iceland and Greenland with Princess) Embarkation same as the disembarkation went very smoothly no comments there. The fellow passengers were as you would ...

Worst sea experience I've ever had!

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Britannia

Chose this ship after going on Iona which was OK but Brittania is by far the worst ship I have ever had the misfortune of being on. Bad attitude from many crew members but the worst part is the food. Low quality slop served every day which is more than disappointing. If you want a nice cruise with good quality food give this ship a very wide bearth. Disgusting food every day. Tasteless desserts, ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Britannia

I chose this cruise after sailing on P & O Iona. The ship was nice and the food was acceptable. Unfortunately I believed the standard of the food would the same in Brittania. How wrong I was! The same pre-prepared slop was served up almost daily. There was hardly any fresh fruit and no tempting displays of any sort of food which was very repetitive. I have no criticism of my balcony cabin however ...

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Britannia

We enjoyed our cruise on Britannia. The dining room food was decent but a little repetitive. The buffet however was dreadful, the worst I've had on a cruise ship. Beating MSC which I never thought would be possible. Everything tasted bland and ultra-processed. I mean you have Indian chefs, why are the curries not cooked fresh? I'm pretty sure they use tinned curries. Finding fruit and vegetables ...

Why Choose: Went on this cruise to experience the splendour and scenery of the Norwegian fjords. Had a wonderful week on the boat. Convenient to drive to Southampton, valet the car and get on the cruise ship with our entire family. Well organized at check-in and dropping off the luggage. We had 1 suite and 2 balcony rooms for 6 adults and an 8-month baby. Restaurants: We dined at all of ...

Taking Mum to the Fjords was something she wanted so badly and for that reason the cruise was fantastic. I booked a wheelchair friendly cabin for her which had the bonus of a wet room, the cabin was very big and positioned midship close to the lifts, i was in an inside straigh opposite. Now the lifts, tip is to take your space a lift when you have a person of limited maneuverability ...

This was quite a relaxing cruise around the UK. The ports were mainly in Scotland the best Scotland stop was Kirkwall. The weather, being kind helped and the voyage through the Scottish Isles was very beautiful. The highlight was Liverpool where two days were spent among some of the best architecture and port docks in the world. A very impressive city, with a rich history with a lot more to ...

If you have cruised on any other major cruise lines, then you will be disappointed with the P & O Britrania. The Horizon buffet (Main buffet on the ship) is appalling. Limited choice, bland food and repetitive, people just walk around with an empty plate just trying to find anything they can put on their plate. The main dining room is basic food and again very repetitive. If you just want ...

Food Disgusting

If you want disgusting food, then this is your ship! The buffet food was shocking. The speciality restaurants only slighty better , even with the extra costs and if you could get a booking. Entertainment was pretty.ok. Balcony room was fine and cleaned every day. I wouldnt go on this ship again. Scenery in Norway stunning. Staff helpful and generally friendly. People who have ...

Great ship and good service!

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Britannia

The Britannia is a good ship. Cannot fault the service. Balcony room was compact but met our needs. Balcony a little small, particularly when you want to sit there for an extended period. Entertainment was quite good and theatre was first class but other cruise lines have had more exceptional singers and dancers. One female singer and two male dancers stood out. Limited solo and group acts. ...
