We chose this cruise because of the Greek Islands that we wanted to see. Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly and quickly. The ship was very nice and kept i great condition. We were in cabin 7542-a balcony cabin. The room is large and has plenty of room for storage. The beds are comfy. It was great to be able to see such beautiful sites from our balcony. So worth it. Our cabin was taken care of by Alex. He did an excellent job. He was very helpful and answered some of our questions when leaving the ship and about the ports. The crew in all areas must be commended on their care of guests & ship. They are what makes the Rhapsody a ship to travel on. The food was very good in both the Windjammer and the dining room. Our servers were Aldis and Mericel. Both excellent. There is such a variety of foods to choose from, I don't think anyone should complain. Again service was great throughout the ship. This was our first cruise, that we did not have tables for our little group. Which turned out great because we got to meet and interact with some great guests. But there were no tables for 2 or 4, which I had never seen before. I could not give a higher rating because of the entertainment. We have been on many cruises, but this is totally lacking on this cruise. We are onboard every evening and sea days and really something needs to be done to improve in this area. Their singers and dancers were good, but spoiled with costumes that didn't fit and all those wigs! Those girls and gentlemen just looking like themselves would have elevated those shows because they had good voices and danced well. I am sure they also could have found other talent, if they wanted. We have been on other RC ships, nothing like this. The games were so childish. Fine, if you were a child, but not for adults. The ports were wonderful: Kotor, Corfu, Athens, Mykonos and Agrostoli. You would be able to see and do these ports on your own except for Athens. We arranged our own tour with PK Travel-excellent. Read Less

This was our third Royal Caribbean cruise and really we plan to stay with them unless there is an itinerary we need that they do not provide. We arrived in Venice 2 days before the cruise to have some time there. Embarkation was as seamless and trouble free as I have seen, this could be due to the size of the ship. We arrived really early and had to wait a few hours to get to our rooms, but the buffet and other venues were available. The ship is as all their other ships in pretty good shape, however this one was looking like she could use a few updates. There were bubbles in the wall paper and in the bathrooms. Our room was on the third deck and this was the first time we have been on a low deck, so if that is the cause for the noise please disregard. It was noisy, we heard the running stomp of children's feet above us at all hours. Other than that the rooms were great. We ate a few times in the dining room for dinner and the service and food were really good. I do wish the buffet would have a little more variety each day, but the food was good. It was kept fresh and hot. This buffet might be a little small for the number of people onboard because there were multiple times when they closed off the entrance due to having too many people inside. That was the first time we had seen this before on a cruise. The entertainment was really good as always. They had 2 shows (Piano Man and a Ballroom dancing show) These were both really good. I wonder if they try out the new shows on the smaller ships first, if so these should be moving to the larger ships soon. We did not take any of the offered shore excursions as we went on our own. The service on Royal Caribbean has always been good and this trip was no exception. This was the first trip we went to an art auction and we had so much fun this will become a regular event for us. We had an amazing cruise on the Rhapsody of the Seas. This is a smaller ship but has an elegant and relaxed atmosphere. The staff are exceptional and work hard to deliver a memorable experience. There are always activities and games to keep you occupied and the excursions were well organised and interesting. The cabins and all public areas were kept spotlessly clean and the food was completely delicious and varied. The drinks package was great and the Sea card allowed us to walk around without the need to carry cash. The staff clearly took great pride in their work and were friendly and helpful. The gym was small but well equipped and had beautiful ocean views. The Edelweiss dining room offered a wonderful fine dining experience and we loved the extensive menu. The food at the Windjammer was also great and the quality was good even being a buffet. I would certainly recommend this ship and look forward to sailing on it again. Read Less

First, this is my first cruise because I was sure I would hate the crowds, buffets etc. Now I love cruises. We had room 7582 which was a family spacious view (a window, no balcony). It was perfect. Small and dated (yes for my hotel standards) but really perfectly great for a family of 4. The window views were stunning, and it was HOT so I never would have opened a balcony anyway. I got to see the most incredible views while in air conditioning. Our room attendant Marilyn was lovely, our dining experience in the restaurant was incredible, a seat by the window every night (we dined early because we have a 6 year old so around 6pm) with excellent service (by Nila and Melvin). The down side? The entertainment was HORRIBLE. Really, really awful. I think not only does the entertainment director not have children, I am guessing he hates them. I am on the day at sea right now and the entertainment options include a lecture on how to choose hotel rooms in Italy (in the MAIN CENTRUM), a towel folding class- no joke, and the highlight- a men's belly flopping contest. The first few nights they had karaoke, and my perception is that too many children were showing up singing "Let it Go" (totally get that, that would make anyone's ears bleed). MY solution? Have a family karaoke hour at 4pm or 7pm? And an adults only later. THEIR solution? Move it 10pm (I guess still too many kids), next evening 10pm specified adults only, (my guess, either still too many kids or no one came- because families WANT To do things together), next evening? 11pm adults only- no one shows up, no more karaoke. This is just an example- instead of catering to the demographic, the entertainment seem to resist it. Have adults AND families. When I asked if their were more activities that kids could do, I was directed time and time again to their "kids clubs"- but I want to BE with my kids. I totally appreciate babysitting services, but I want to vacation WITH my kids. I could have left them home with my parents if I wanted a separate vacation. Another example, I guess there were too many kids dancing in the Centrum floor during the band playing (this is different than the 18+ DJ evening clubs, this is 7pmish 8pmish in the main hall. So instead of thinking- Hey- lets have a "family DJ dance club" from 7 to 9, or 8 to 10- they include notes on the daily planner about not letting kids run around (OF COURSE), and just start designating more and more events later and 18+. Totally get the need for the 18+ events, I don't want to hang out with a bunch of misbehaving crappy kids. But I do want to vacation WITH my kids, and I just wish they could try to accommodate both groups rather than just limiting the activities in general to late night partiers. (and partiers- please, party on, I was once with you- rock on- I just want some extra activities). For example, maybe, perhaps, skip the towel folding class? skip the belly flop contest? skip the scavenger hunts that no one does? skip the crossword/ wordsearch event? (I mean, by all means, provide crossword puzzles, but maybe those could be done independently and the space and personnel resources could be used to provide an activity someone wants to attend? (plus there were TWO of the crossword events today- morning and afternoon- I am sure they are compelling but maybe one could be an independent activity?) Read Less

I always wanted to visit the Greek Islands and this was an excellent opportunity. My friend and I travelled to Venice and after spending a night at Mestre we boarded the Rapsody of the Seas. It was a relaxing seven day cruise. The food was so delicious and the service was excellent. The waiters, especially the ones at Edelweiss restaurant, did their very best to see that the food is to our liking. The room was very clean and quite comfortable. The room service was very good. The only thing was that the shower was too small. We enjoyed all the evenings during this cruise. After dinner we used to go to the theatre. The shows were all amazing but the last show was the most awesome. It was a Hand Shadow show by an Italian performer. Both embarkation and disbarkation went on smoothly. Both were done in an organized manner. We had a wonderful time on this ship. Read Less

Wanted to see several stops in the Mediterranean and enjoy some relaxing time aboard a cruise boat...the stops were there, but the excursions were un-remarkable and rushed/crowded and there never was any possibility of relaxation due to the non-stop "activities" in the Centrum that were quite loud, the staterooms were cramped and dated, and due to the frustration caused by limited dining options open both early and late. Even the food was disappointing in terms of quality...I couldn't wait to get home and prepare myself a decent meal at the end of this cruise! Who cares if there's a never ending supply of mediocre or down right crappy food... One key point...the poolside service was atrocious. We placed orders several times which were evidently lost or ignored...only to see the waiter who took our order cruising the area shortly afterward without drinks for anyone, much less us. I would not recommend this cruise. It was disappointing. Read Less

I choose the cruise because the ports that it visited and I used to be loyal to Royal Caribbean because of the service. However, I notice that it has decline a little in quality details such as a welcoming at the ports. I noticed that other cruises had water and towels for their guests as they arrive the ship from the port and that was a nice detail after all day walking under the sun. The embarkation process was very smooth and comfortable. My cabin was very nice. The dining service was excellent. I think that something should be organized with the Windjammer because it's too crowded to enjoy lunch. In general, I still like the service and quality of the food. Even though the entertainment activities at night (the shows) were good, I've been to other Royal Caribbean cruises were the shows were broadway type shows. I remembered watching the play "Chicago" at one of your cruises. I think I was expecting that type of shows. However, the presentations and activities were very nice. I didn't take any shore excursions so I can't review them. Excellent Cruise!!! Read Less

My sister chose it and it was my first real cruise so everything was new and exciting. I particularly appreciated the friendliness and efficiency of the staff and the food was much better than I expected. Service in the restaurant was very good - on one occasion we told our waiters, LEO and VANISHA that we wanted to finIsh quickly to see a show and they served us at breakneck speed. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Two people in the family had food issues and they were always well catered for. The variety of dishes available at the Windjammer was excellent. The activities I particularly enjoyed were the quizzes, theatre shows, the flag waving show on the last night and, last but not least, THE REGGAE BAND! The places we visited were varied and interesting and I enjoyed them all, particularly Mykonos and Montenegro (I had been to Athens before). I was also very impressed by the security and organisation during embarkation and during our stops at the various ports but especially on final disembarkation. We were never left hanging around or waiting for ages in queues. Read Less

Tried smaller ship to visit unknown places which is impossible with bigger. Visited new for us post communist country Montenegro and been surprised how people trying to build a new economic and society/ We have seen lovely Greek Islands as per route/ Only Corfu was disappointing- lots of smelly rubbish and dirty roads and pavements. Not the best presentation of Greece/ But on the other hand Kefalonia was amazing I would recomend to have excursion when you bee there. Had lovely rest on upper deck and enjoyed weather. Excellent and very helpful staff. Food is great.Always find what to do. Rooms with dated decorum but it's OK/ In room 2626 problem with shower. Inconvenient setting of snack bar - we should prefer on mid deck/ Disappointed gym - very small at the aft/ Obviously no promenade bcs of size of ship/ Shopping is no-no/Very loud , extremely loud entertainment at pool area / last day was torture - entertainment team had break on 30min only - the rest of the day we have been listening unbearable noise. We like Royal Caribbeans but in the future we will choose newer and bigger ships. Read Less

We chose this cruise for the itinerary flying to Venice stopping at some of the most beautiful places Mykonos,Montenegro(superb) Corfu, Athens etc.,It was a good enjoyable holiday withers staff were absolutely amazing each and everyone it I said definitely the best to date! special mention to all dining staff in Eidlewiess for their friendly welcome smiles.Christoa nothing was to much for him als Linden's assistant young Indian lad, whose name escapes me would make an effort to speak to us wherever we were lovely smile the entertainment was fine but ruined each night by children running amok on the dance floor, parents doing nothing,it was quite dangerous at times doing kart wheels lifting up over shoulders and dropping down, unbelievable. We were delighted with the Latin music and would have loved to watch the partners dance, alas it was spoilt. Also we love the theatre, but the times were ridiculous 7.00and 9.00. We are not dressed for theatre at 7.00 Then 9.00 we were in dining room,we have always had a late theatre show! That said the rest was very enjoyable.food great service great. Read Less
