Great Vacation in the Rhapsody of the Seas!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas

We arrived to Tampa early on the morning of the cruise. Took a cab and paid $25 from the airport. We have sailed before so we knew what to expect. Before we knew it we were allowed on board (but not to our rooms, they were still cleaning them). Although this is not a huge ship, there was still plenty for us to do from 10:30-1:30 (until they had our room ready). We explored all decks and ...

This was our first cruise. I've heard so many great things about cruising, so very excited about it. We live in California and our son and family live in Indiana so we met up in Florida for this cruise. This ship is very old and outdated, and very rocky. Everything on the ship is an upsell, more money more money more money. This was the absolute worse vacation of my life. The service of 90% of the ...

This cruise was arranged by employer... never look a gift horse in the mouth! We enjoyed the cruise ....all things in perspective. The overall experience was great... any little hiccup did not spoil it. Library was lacking... turned out to be 2 bookcases between two concessions. Would have wanted to see a designated space. Viking lounge was lacking ... think the layout is part of problem, ...

This was the best cruise. The Staff was so helpful from the moment we embarked. The cabin was comfortable and the attendant met our every need. The Windjammer which is buffet was wonderful. They came around with drinks and pastries. If you wanted any type of dessert they would get it for you. The dining room treated you like royalty. We asked for shrimp cocktail for appetizers and they ...

I chose this ship because of the itinerary. Interesting ports of call. Embarkation and debarkation went smoothly. Had an outside stateroom on Deck 2 and it was clean and was bigger than I expected. Shower was small and the curtain was annoying, but all in all, the room was fine. The entertainment was excellent!!!! Loved every show!! The food was just ok. Ate in the windjammer for breakfast ...

Smaller ship, but loads of fun!

We've sailed on Disney, Princess, and Royal Caribbean before. This was going to be the smallest ship we've been on, and I was a bit apprehensive. But, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the ship was and the overall quality of our vacation. It started out stressful because the airline lost our luggage (not Royal Caribbean's fault) and we set sail without our belongings. However, RC was ...

Traveled with friends on a Spring Break cruise. We chose the Rhapsody of the Seas because of it's itnerary and it's value. We also thought a smaller ship would be a nice change and we are so glad we did! The Rhapsody did not disappoint. It is known as the "Superfriendly Rhapsody of the Seas" for a reason. Everywhere you went staff greeted you with smiles. The Entertainment crew works non stop ...

Not Our Best RCL Cruise But Still Good

We chose this cruise because we had never been to 3 out of the 4 ports of call. We've been to most of the other Caribbean Islands. So here's my honest review: Embarkation did not go smoothly. We were told to head upstairs to go through security. When we complied, they said that since we didn't check our luggage, we would have to carry it with us. The ship is one of the smaller and older ones in ...

Older ship, good ports

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas

We selected this cruise primarily due to location, date and ports. It is an older ship but still looks good. The kids club was a huge disappointment to our 9 yr old son, no video games because they stated they were at full capacity. Food in the dining room and in the Windjammer was very average and the same only slight changes. The only time my son could get chicken tenders was in the main ...

Royal Caribbean-Rhapsody of the Seas was an excellent choice for us to see the ports of the Western Caribbean. The food was excellent, the entire staff was friendly and wanted to be sure we were taken care of. A nice variety of on board activities were available and also the same for the shore excursions. Everything from boarding, transfers, and shore excursions was well organized and went very ...
