I will start with the positives:
Boarding and getting off the ship was a piece of cake, easy, easy, easy. The balcony room was well worth the money. The room was perfectly fine, room 7640 was quite, no noise. Easy to find your way around the ship. The crew at the Schooner Bar were fabulous. Honduras was by far the best shore excursion.
Now, the not so good:
Food at "my time dining" was ...
I want to pass along my praise and thanks to the wonderful crew and staff that sail aboard the Vision of the Seas. Our family of 8 have had the good fortune to celebrate the 2015 Christmas season with the crew of the Vision of the Seas and we cannot say enough about our experience. I have sailed with almost every cruise line that has sailed out of Florida since the early 90's (many now gone) and ...
This is our third cruise, second on Royal Caribbean. I doubt we will sail with Royal again. We were with our two teenage daughters celebrating Christmas as a family. I will start by saying, that we were NOT miserable. We enjoyed being together and who can complain when you're floating on the ocean in the middle of December? But a few points
1. Service- our cabin steward was amazing. ...
We had another great cruise. I read many of the cruise reviews and understand some of the frustrations. I also realize that everything, every time may not go right. But, with that being said, I also make the best of everything.
We had a great cruise. The Captain was very interactive and noticeable, as was his officers. We had 4 great ports to visit and they were all what we expected. The ...
Writing this on the last day of our Christmas cruise. Good time to remember everything while it is fresh. To set it up front we have not been on a "big boat" cruise for nearly 10 years having switched to Windstar and river cruising. We left the big boats because we didn't like the cattle call crowds and our opinion hasn't changed. Just wanted to be upfront about that from the start. We took ...
I've taken 5 Carnival Cruises ranging from 4 nights to 7 nights and Norwegian. The Vision of the Seas was my first Royal Caribbean cruise and it will be my last. The ship smelled like urine the entire time, hence "The Royal Flush". Our room was border-line unbearable with the odor. Most of the staff was extremely rude. No one went above and beyond unless you called them out on their rudeness. ...
My wife and I previously cruised on Vision of the Seas to Alaska in 2006. It was the best cruise we ever took. We were looking forward to sailing on her again but were disappointed.
We are emerald members of the Crown & Anchor Society and made diamond on this cruise. We have a similar status on Holland America so we are not new to cruising.
First for the good stuff. The ship was clearly ...
We just finished our fourth Christmas cruise, the second with Royal Caribbean, a seven-day trip on the Vision of the Seas out of Tampa cruise port #2. We have embarked/debarked at both of the Tampa cruise ports, and find #3 to be more orderly and easier to get through. Embarkation this time was further complicated due to some type of computer glitch during check-in. Once aboard, we set about ...
This cruise was OK but not great.
The positives:
** Most all the bartenders were excellent (with the exception of one)
** Overall, entertainment was very good
** Cabin Steward (Raz) was excellent
** Specialty dining was excellent (all three speciality dining restaurants)
The negatives:
** Booked a Jr Suite and this stateroom is nothing more than a large balcony room. There ...
This was my 62nd cruise. I have been on almost every cruise line and had fun on just about all of them.
The pro's for this cruise include: Captain Marek Slaby - he was more visible than ANY captain of any ship I have sailed. He sang in the Centrum, he played volley ball in the swimming pool, and even was wishing everyone a safe trip home as we were leaving the ship at the gang plank. ...
