We chose the Harmony because we wanted to experience the new amenities. We had a Boardwalk balcony that came with a soda package. Room was great but you can sometimes hear revelers at night, luckily not every night. MDR was great, however only “good” by RCI high standards. We didn’t try any of the specialty dining it was cost prohibitive for our group. We still love the diversity of cuisine in the Windjammer. The addition of the hand washing stations outside the Windjammer was a thoughtful welcome addition. Service was absolutely awesome. Everyone went out of their way to anticipate our every need. Entertainment and activities were fun and diverse. We went with a group whose ages ranged from 14-92 years old and everyone had an awesome time. The teen lounge was the primary reason I only saw my daughter for dinner and pictures. Shore excursions were plentiful. A cab ride from Falmouth to Montego Bay was a bargain. Overall, this was my third sailing on an Oasis class ship and it was the most fun. The waterslides and Abyss tipped the scale in awesomeness. Read Less

Chose this cruise in order for my husband and I to travel with a group of friends. Was under the false impression that Royal Caribbean would be better than Carnival, I did not find that to be true. I am OK with having children and teenagers aboard the ship, but I assumed Royal Caribbean would have areas for adults to have some solitude, I did not find that to be true. I would’ve liked to have had more opportunities to learn some of the casino games such as roulette and craps. My husband was disappointed that he couldn’t get a decent deal in the package alcohol drinks because I don’t drink and he did not want have to pay for two packages. This was my first royal Caribbean cruise, I don’t rate it as being any better than the other cruise lines. Enjoyed Princess Cruise lines private island excursion more than royal Caribbean private destinations, We were treated much better on their excursion as for being provided water and cold towels. We had 3 generations on this cruise, so chose Harmony for the variety of activities. We all loved our individual experiences. We had a genie who took care of everything and anything for us. He exceeded our expectations and then some. We had a 2 bedroom suite for the family. It was nicely appointed. We especially liked the large deck. We had room service deliver every morning which we ate around the 6 person table on the deck. The food was mostly excellent. We especially enjoyed dining at the 501 restaurant. Scrumptious! I only took 1 excursion, a snorkeling trip out of Cozumel, Mexico. I did not feel like safety was up to U.S. standards. No discussion of location of life vests. No buddy system in the water. Our 15 year old enjoyed every minute. He made several friends and they seemed to have a blast together. Think he tried every activity available. We would do it again in a heartbeat. Best vacation ever! Read Less

Fantastic experience, largest ship in the seas. This was my 11th cruise so I can tell great from poor. Food was great, staff was always pleasant and helpful! Every night we ate in the dinning hall at the same table with our family. We had the greatest wait staff you could imaging. My daughter (23 years old) needs a gluten free diet. The staff met with her every day to discuss what would be available to eat each night. When we ate off the ship they made sure someone would be available to assist her on land with gluten free food. We have already signed up for a Mediterranean cruise in September 2019 Highly recommend Royal Caribbean cruises if you like cruising. It is difficult to find a cruise line that gets it all right food, entertainment, service the whole package is amazing. Best prices will come from a travel agent. Read Less

The biggest ship at the time was the main reason for choosing the Harmony. The quality of the food has decreased in the dinning rooms and the quality of the room service has decreased as well form other cruises that I have taken. Some shows are just great and others are just bad. The ship is a hot ship in the summer specially in the cabins. Some people carry their own electric fans for the staterooms. The best thing was that the ship is the most stable ship I've seen. Most of the time you don't notice the movement at all. Cabins are smaller that in other comparable ships. Overall be ready to spend USD$1,000 more for a family of 4 for food, internet, drinks and mandatory tips and gratuity at the ship. Be ready to spend $1,000 more for 3 shore excursions with your family. Expect to spend $10,000 for your overall vacation, including airfare, ship, excursions, food and drinks, internet, etc. for a family of 4 for your 7 days per year life allowance. Read Less

My experience was awesome I cruised with my husband and a group of friends, the shows, the activities were endless. I never thought after 7 days, that I could have easily stayed at least another 3 days to complete the activities on the cruise that I unfortunately just did not get too. I wouldn’t need another port stop to assure I complete the onboard activities. Looking forward to our next cruise ...& I told my husband the group Way is definitely the best way to go. I am now, a large , new ship Royal Caribbean Fan ! In 150 words or less, the cruise was amazing and full of things to do especially for someone who is super hyper as myself , I am extremely active and things bore me quick yes, that’s even at the age of 49, so the entertainment , the casino, the thrills ( zip lining , rock climbing , the slides omg amazing , my heart was beating so fast , I went without expectations of doing so many activities , I actually thought I would get some reading and however I didn’t ... the exercise gym was state of the art as well. And extremely clean and helpful staff that were visible. Read Less

The best service by all staff on board, at all times. All so helpful, smiling, professional, from dining staff to housekeeper. So many activities all hours, for us and our children. Every show was different and some of the best we've ever seen, simply spectacular! I said "WOW" more times on this ship during this week then I have in my entire lifetime. Drew was very cool, and flawless at all shows. The love& marriage gameshow, the Greaae show, the shows at the aqua theater and royal theater were all remarkable! Also, the escape room, the zipline and I could go on and on.....we loved the activity guides and the TV channels that explained everything happening! We asked many others who have cruised and they all agreed Royal Caribbean is the best way to go! Thank You for an unforgettable vacation! We wont wait so long for our next cruise! Read Less

Ship: Last year was the Biggest in the world. Over 6000 passengers. Impressive level of luxury (decorations, seating, carpeting, etc) Relatively calm seas all voyage but impossible to feel motion at almost 20 knots. 17 decks and impressive open areas like boardwalk and Central Park. Lots of space so you do not fell crowded by numbers of passengers Cabin. Adequate space and bathroom size. Super clean Dining: 27 bars/restaurants so everything is nearby no matter which deck you are on. Free dining is above average, We had dinners at the main dining room (American Icon deck 3) most nights with set table and waiter. Turned out to be most rewarding as our waiter Peter knew names and favorite drinks waiting. Explore different restaurants for breakfast and lunch. Study ahead of time so you are prepared. Roast beef sandwich at Park cafe deck 8 highly recommended for lunch. Entertainment/Activies: We ranked the shows as follows; 1887 (Ice show), Columbus the Musical, Fine Line and Grease (too long). Make time for "Escape the Rubicon" great family fun. Service: Excellent. Room steward had room ready each day promptly and turned beds down at night. Dining room waiter was a show onto himself. They both earned additional gratuity. Ports/Shore excusions; Save water adventures for the Labadee Private bay. If you want to see San Juan, PR book a private tour. These buses line the street at the end of the pier. One must get around these to cross street to get to walking portion. Steep hills. Advertised free city routes to landmarks were nowhere to be found. waited a 3 different stops for over 20 minutes. Very heavy weekday traffic. St Marteen only has newly built shopping center next to dock. Taxi or water taxi needed to get to town. Read Less

This was a group cruise with friends and family. I felt like some of the shows went over the top of being suggestive in content. I didn't care for the bad language and/or suggestive nature of the shows. I don't believe you have to be nasty to be funny. I did research on the excursions prior to sailing and made selections accordingly. The selection of the menu in Windjammer did not vary much from day to day. My steward was excellent. Guest services assisted me in two different areas and were most helpful. I enjoyed both shore excursions. I especially enjoyed the Jet Ski excursion on Labadee. Wasn't sure who could attend the beach party and barbecue on that port. I felt like the selection of no cost dining could have been more easily located on the ship. I did not travel with children, though with it being a summer cruise, there were plenty of children on the ship. I don't think I will be going on an RC cruise again in the near future. The cost of the cruise is the deciding factor for this. Read Less

We take our daughter and her family or at least our grandchildren on a cruise every year. This year we took everyone on the Harmony of the Seas and they had a great time. Harmony is a great ship for any age group. There is so much to do on the ship you really don't have to leave it. Our grandson (16) spent his days on the flowrider. Our granddaughter spent her time in the pool, splash park, rock climbing wall, miniature golf and water slides. The shows onboard have greatly improved. We saw Grease which was done well. The ship was crowded but we were able to figure out the times to go to breakfast, lunch and how to get the best seats for the shows. You need to make reservations for all shows and we highly recommend doing it as soon as they open it up so you don't miss out on any of them. We took the time to figure out the shows based on our daytime activities. We could not have planned better. On the day we had the most activity we did not schedule and evening activity. Read Less
