We choose the Ovation of the Seas as we had previously enjoyed the Voyager of the Seas and wanted to try a newer ship and a different destination. Ovation of the Seas is definitely a great ship for a New Zealand Cruise especially with the adult only pool and spa area being protected by the elements with glass and this area is a fabulous area to relax. We travelled with two other couples who had ...

My wife and I are experienced cruises having done 16 with various companies , however this time we were taking our daughter and her partner with us . She had only done one cruise on the old Pacific Sun and this was Rob's first one . We wanted to have a modern , fully equipped ship that everyone could enjoy . Boy did we get that . First , it's huge but in saying that the traffic flow was very good ...

Sailed from Sydney New Zealand with extended family. Firstly, I have to say that embarkation and disembarkation ran extremely smoothly given the large volume of passengers. We all had balcony cabins and I must rate these very highly as they were stylish, comfortable and well designed. Our cabins were kept impeccably clean by our room attendant Seby, so thank you to him. There were many ...

Royal Caribbean? Never Again!

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Ovation of the Seas

We chose this cruise for the destinations and timing, it just happened that the Royal Caribbean cruise happened to fit with the dates we had available. However, we will NEVER cruise with this line again. After you have paid for your passage and boarded the ship, everything you do is a profit opportunity for the cruise line. Firstly, there is a charge for EVERY service, including, would you ...

Ovation of the Seas has some amazing features and it is worth travelling at least once on the ship. We do prefer the Voyager of the Seas. The entertainment was amazing and unlike other ships, we would have liked the ships entertainers to do more shows. We travelled for 14 days and really only had 2 shows from the on board entertainers and they were excellent. The worst was a comedian who was ...

Chose this cruise so we could experience the ship for the first time ..and was not disappointed.ship is huge with lots to keep you amused or just to relax.food quality was varied in choice of venue and variety ( lack of anything Asian though).what stir fry veg was available was stewed..but that would be my only food issue. North Star was incredible as was Ifly. Evening shows were a bit tired ...

Nice ship but not my favourite

The ship was nice and new and very clean but had a weird layout, it was huge but felt cramped and small in some places, it was almost like RCCL have forgotten the basics and added to many things you need to pay for so they can make extra profit. In general service was great however in some places like the shops staff were grumpy and unhelpful. There were no sizes in the shops for larger people ...

We are RCI Captains Club members and have cruised many times around the world with RCI and Celebrity ( as well as other companies). We have been staunch advocates of RCI up until now. We were a group of 11 passengers in 5 balcony rooms, gathered together from around the world to celebrate a family milestone. This is not a discount booze cruise, but a mid to upper range luxury ship that can ...

Having done well over 30 cruises This is our 3rd time on ovation and we love her. There is so much to do onboard and while some reviews completely contradict our experience we have always been able to have a booking activities and find places to relax. Activities can be booked prior to boarding on the planner but naturally these book up quickly. Northstar is not available for port day ...
