Pros and Cons from this first time Princess cruiser

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Majestic Princess

As we are now retired empty-nesters, we decided to give Princess a try for her reputation of "older passengers" yet good food and entertainment. So here is my honest feedback after our week on her traveling to the Mexican Riviera. We booked a club class Mini-suite, room R420 Pros- 1. We tend to eat early; so we never had a wait at the MDR. The club class section was nice, we could arrive ...

Loved the staff, food and entertainment. Did not get the accessible cabin we booked. They did nothing to help us...tough luck I guess! seems that the busier they get the less they care about you and your problem. I will be dropping princess from my cruise list. The medallion app does not work properly. They told me that they just started having problems with it which is a total line of crap. I ...

Friendly Crew, Great Ports, Terrible Cruise Ship

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Majestic Princess

The crew is friendly and trying their best but were overwhelmed by too many passengers, stale food, bad wine, broken coffee machines, unthoughtful scheduling, a tiny casino with only one 7 card table that was full 12 hours a day, plus out dated slots, cutting corners, lack of parties or champagne fountains, or decent and fun trivia, the smallest beds I have seen on any cruise ship, no wifi, no one ...

Not good...Not bad....Just Blah!

Have sailed on Celebrity and Royal Caribbean mostly. First Princess Cruise. Thought it would be comparable to Celebrity and it was not even in the ballpark. Embarkation is easy. But when you walk on, there is no glass of champagne (like Celebrity), there is no photographer to snap a picture (every cruise I have sailed on takes a picture when you walk on), and only two people who barely said ...

Another enjoyable trip

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Majestic Princess

It has always been fun aboard a Princess cruise ship. This recent 7-day California Coastal trip was again above our expectations. It was our third post-Covid cruise, including one on the same Princess Majestic last December. Comparing these two Majestic trips, we feel the entertainment program has improved. It was not just we got one more production show during a week, but also this new Encore ...

We have always loved our princess cruises. This was our 24th cruise with Princess. We had problems with dining, “dine my way”. Before we cruised I booked early dining, 5 o’clock dining. Our first night on board, there was a huge lineup at the dining room entrance. When we finally got to the entrance of the dining room they looked it up and said we had no reservations! It was a mass of confusion. ...

Convenient since we live near the port - cruise with Princess a lot but this cruise was a topper to be the worst ever! On the Majestic last August and woke up the first morning to find our bed sheets had not been changed from the previous cruise - dried crap and crap hand prints on sheets! disgusting. This cruise on same ship was a terrible experience. Amenities were not provided as promised ...

Chose the cruise as the first after COVID, and wanted to stay in the US. The ports were great, plenty to explore. The Ship staff were wonderful. It was a calm seas cruise. The food was awesome ! The evening Show Productions were good, but not great. I would have loved to have more on board daily activities such as Zumba or physical exercise classes, or dance classes. There were ...

Awful Experience

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Majestic Princess

Have done about 20 cruises....mostly on Celebrity, but 3-4 on Princess as well. This cruise is absolutely the worst cruise we have ever been on. Dining is a BIG part of cruising, and Princess, on this cruise has failed miserably. Every meal we have had in the main dining foom (either Concerto or Allegra) has been a joke. The food is brought out in a hap-hazard way, it takes forever to actually ...

The Cruise to Nowhere

Before you read too much into the title of my review, I am a native Californian and this was my 25th Princess Cruise. That means I am what Princess calls "Elite" one of their most frequent cruisers. If it's free, I get it. If it's not free, I demand it. And as a retired Fortune 10 Executive who frequently talked with Chairmen of the Board and Corporate Executives, I know how to communicate ...
