This cruise provided the stress relief that we needed. After all the tension leading up to the cruise with the virus, and testing, and the country seeming to be in an angry mood, our expectations of this cruise were very low. Even before we embarked, we found the experience at LAX in finding a Lyft to our rental car in San Pedro was easy; the stay overnight in San Pedro was nice and we were able ...
I had booked this cruise in March for my wife and me. When it came time for final payment my wife said she didn't feel safe cruising while Omicron is on the increase, so I rebooked for January 15 as a single. This was the 1st time in 27 cruises that I went by myself. But after 2 years of no vacations, I just needed to get away. Prices were great in January and since it is the low season I figured ...
I chose this cruise since I had never cruised the Mexican Riviera before. The ship is beautiful, the staff was extremely friendly. Due to COVID restrictions, the ship was only about 1/3 full, and so nothing was over crowded. The Pool area always had deck chairs, and the bars, restaurants and even the buffet had ample seating. With as small a passenger list, it was easy to make friends ...
They didn’t tel us before we paid out that so called entertainment and the Karaoke and voice of the Ocean had Been completely cancelled NOTHING just cancelled. However although the because of the Chinese Covid paranoia (surprise) no Karaoke but non stop Trivia would replace EVERYTHING ..gee thanks.
After coffee shock first morning decided to get my own from coffee station at buffet. Once going ...
Worst ship I have been on in awhile! Worst service I have had on the Princess Fleet. Staff likes to stand around and do nothing. It seems that they do not care about customer service and when I spoke to guest services, they said oh well. I was going to be over charged by the photo gallery for photos that I had pre-purchased. They try to buckle and dime you even after you have pre-paid for the ...
Itinerary was the reason I choose this cruise, did not like the ship, lot of wasted space no one used ,built for the chinese market. Food was poor over all ,Harmony restaurant not worth up charge, Crown Grill was the best place to eat, Main Dining was hit or miss, Didnt even put a garnish in your drink witch has gotten smaller, over all it was not as good as past cruises. Buffet food was very poor ...
We love Princess and understood that Covid was going to make it more difficult, however we were impressed on how smoothly everything went. A couple of things we weren’t impressed with were:
The 1st Comedian and Magician were terrible
The Enrichment Lecturer was terrible, some of the content was good, mostly not and she was very boring
The buffet wasn’t as good as usual, however did ...
We loved this cruise. We've taken over 15 cruises and his one is a keeper! We loved the itinerary too. It was great being able to stay overnight in Cabo, our favorite port. We also were really happy to stop in Loreto. Loreto is a cool, sleepy town that is very clean, low key and kicked back. We would like to fly there on a separate trip sometime. We were told that the airport is only 15 minutes ...
The cruise was exceptional because the crew we interacted with were professional & courteous and provided great service at all times. This was our first time using the Medallion service aboard a Princess ship and we were doubtful on its usefulness other than unlocking our cabin door, but there were so many other benefits that we hadn’t thought of that helped us to enjoy the cruise.
Learning ...
Well after Covid had spread across the world, but before things got shut down, we had planned a cruise on the Emerald Princess through the Panama Canal. A couple of days before the cruise began on 2/29/20 things were getting so scary Covidwise that my friend decided that she would not take the chance of getting the disease and chose not to go. The rest of us went anyway. By the time we got to ...
