We like Viking and we liked the itinerary. The public spaces were lovely, the service was great with providers encouraged to interact with guests. Manfredi’s was disappointing, but the main restaurant and the World Cafe were excellent. The view from our balcony was amazing, and the excursions were well run and informative. I am an early riser and especially enjoyed the quiet spots on the ship ...
We have taken many cruises over the years and Viking has always been the best. Now we only cruise with Viking due to their exceptional customer service, all of our Viking cruises have exceeded our expectations. The ship, cabin, dining, entertainment, services, ports and shore excursions were all excellent. Our cabin was promptly cleaned and restocked several times each day. The choices of ...
We chose Viking Ocean cruises because of the itinerary it provided. We also chose Viking because of the ships size. We had no desire to be on a mega ship with thousands, nor did we want to use a GPS to navigate our way around. Viking did not disappoint. The ship had many areas for those who want to meet and socialize with fellow travelers as well as areas for people who want to quietly sit and ...
We chose this due to the itinerary and Viking name. And we were not disappointed. Everything from the modern ship to the service to the shore excursions were top notch. The food was phenomenal. The afternoon teas, the spa, the restaurants. I could go on and on and on. I've taken enough cruises on many other lines to know quality when I see it. And this was the best. If you want a top rate ...
Our granddaughter choose Iceland. This was her graduation trip. We were surprised at how much we enjoyed it. Not the cruise itself but the locations; Norway, Faroe Islands and Iceland. Incredibly beautiful! Interesting history. The cruise was awesome. This was our 2nd Viking cruise. The first being a river cruise. The Grand European cruise. Both are world class. Viking is upscale luxury. Not for ...
I chose this ship mainly for it’s itinerary as it was calling in to several ports in Iceland.
When we arrived having been transferred from the airport in a coach to Bergen, we were shown to our state room having already checked in online. Everything went very smoothly.
The statement room was whatnI expected. Not huge, but big enough, with comfy beds, plenty of storage and a nice bathroom. ...
My bucket list always included Iceland and the Faroe Islands and I was very fortunate my wife shared the excitement of these locations. We live in northern Canada and have visited the ocean inlets of Alaska so the fiords of Norway were spectacular but not unfamiliar.
Being my first cruise and my wife's second, we were looking forward to a smaller ship without the casino mentality and we found ...
We had taken Viking River cruises and decided to try the Viking Ocean. It did not disappoint. The ship is beautifully appointed and the staterooms are nicely done. Our stateroom was small but included everything we needed. The staff is very responsive and attentive. The entertainment includes singing and dancing and lectures by knowledgeable scholars. The food was excellent and includes two ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and the specialty restaurants. We were disappointed with some of the stops as they were a waste of time, where we could have spent more time in other ports that we visited. We were also very disappointed in the specialty restaurants. The Italian restaurant (Manfredi's) was sub-par (and we ate their twice to give them a second chance), and the other ...
We chose this cruise based on the itinerary. We have cruised with Regent, Silver Sea, and Oceana previously so we were a bit skeptical of Viking. The cruise exceeded our expectations. There are some extra touches that Regent and Silver Sea does better such as passing appetizers in the bars at night and fruit platters in the room. But I would still rate Viking as a luxury cruise. The staff on ...
