I wanted to take my wife to tour Italy. This ship had 3 ports in Italy and we love to cruise. It was a great fit! It was our first time on MSC and we sailed in the Yacht Club. It was such a dream! The views in the Topsail were incredible and the service was superior to anything I’d experienced before. Mauricio, the YC Matre D was fantastic and cared about all the little details. Our Buer, ...

We had already booked an extended stay in Spain. We were going to be in Barcelona on May 13 and noticed there was a cruise departing on that day with an interesting itinerary. We have been on more than 10 cruises, with Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Windstar etc but never with MSC. we chose an inside cabin, which we never had before, and the early sitting for dinner, although we had seen on the ...

Overall I would give the ship a 3 out of 5 and with a few quick wins could easily be a 4. The ship looks impressive internally but little things like the sun loungers need replacing ,, plenty of them but showing wear and tear. The food overall is really good in the MDR and the Mediterranean night especially worthy of a mention. Staff are attentive and very friendly and any requests dealt with ...

We have travelled on repositioning cruises before 32 in total many on MSC but this is our first one on MSC Seascape. The ship itself is beautiful good State Rooms , crew looking after State Rooms efficient and helpful. However the food is well below the standard we would normally expect. My husband said so much of the food served reminded him of the food available in the British Army when he did ...

Not for Europeans

Unfortunately when we booked this cruise we were unaware that the passenger profile were primarily very conservative Brazilians, and as a gay couple felt very uncomfortable. Also all the entertainment was more focused on Brazil - which is ok if it was good, but it wasn't The cruise with all the extras cost us 1OK and we wish we had just flown to Rio direct The food on the cruise was also ...

I'm a very experienced cruiser, with more than 40 cruises, sailed with all big companies, etc, and cruised before with MSC. I only bought this Atlantic crossing (Barcelona/Rio de janriro) because i thought was really a good price, US 3000 + 500 US onboard credit for a Suite with Aurea experience. Check-in were smooth , although in my reservation and MSC app the embarkation time was ...

This was our second cruise with msc. Once again I cannot fault them. Everything was amazing from the food to the price of the cruise. The staff are so friendly and so helpful. A very special praise to Noman from the bar service. He just went above and beyond for us. We ate in the sliver dolphin our waiters Mark and Gerldine were lovely. Full of knowledge from wine to the food. The food was ...

Excursions let down.

I chose this cruise because of the relatively low single supplement, its date of sailing and, in particular, the interesting cities it was visiting. I was disappointed with the way MSC cancelled the two excursions I had booked to see two of the cities. There is plenty to praise about the ship. I particularly appreciated the space in the public areas despite the large number of guests on ...

Just returned from a 7-night Mediterranean cruise (started from Marseille, FRANCE) - 2 adults/2 young kids Pros: - Ship is modern and well designed - Deluxe Balcony room was a positive surprise and we enjoyed the room a lot (size and shape) - Kids Waterpark was impressive. - Experience at seafood/fish specialty restaurant Ocean Cay was very good - Breakfast and lunch in main ...

Embarkation was problematic and stressful with ground staff unwilling to let us check in because of an alleged problem with a passport (the problem was non-existent and was finally cleared up by immigration but not before we'd been forced to stand to one side of the queue for 30 mins in 35°C heat). Once on board, however, all was forgiven. All the glitter and glam you'd expect from MSC. Pools and ...
