Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Eurodam

We sailed from Ft. Lauderdale to Half Moon Cay (Bahamas); Rio Ochos Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Key West, FL. The ship had been in dry dock for two weeks in December and looked great. It was an older crowd generally (like us) but there were also some children and younger adults on board. Standouts on the cruise: - Food in the dining room was excellent, service was just as good. - ...

An Awesome and Wonderful Time!

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Eurodam

We sailed the Eurodam for a Collector's cruise 3/13 to 3/27/16, and it was truly Paradise for us. This was our first HAL cruise, and we enjoyed ourselves so much, that we are going on another 14-day Southern Caribbean on the Oosterdam next March. Due to spring break, we were unable to get a hotel close to FLL, so we stayed in Miami (at the Miami Airport Hotel) on Saturday evening. Traipsed ...

Slightly Active Vacationing with the Nieuw Amsterdam

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Nieuw Amsterdam

I wear an activity tracker and I don't take it off for vacations. Many of the HAL ships provide what I like to have in a cruise vacation, especially when I'm using an inside cabin, and that's the ability to walk decks in sunlight without being in a cloud of cigarette/cigar smoke. The Nieuw Amsterdam has a promenade deck, and an observation deck, and a fitness center. I didn't use the ...

Special Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Nieuw Amsterdam

I title this "special cruise" because it was a burial cruise for my late husband's ashes. My 2 daughters, one of their husbands, and my two grandsons as well as a couple with whom we traveled were on this cruise. We each had Neptune Suite (other than the other couple), and the two Concierge in the Nepune Lounge were outstanding, Carena and Patricia. I reported to them upon my arrival on the ...

21 day Panama Canal Cruise

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Westerdam

Great cruise and great excursions in the 13 ports visited. Sea days were filled with 10 computer classes, lectures on the regions visited, port excursions, movies, and mixology classes. Embarkation was smooth. We had to wait but were seated in a big room. Disembaration was smooth. We had to wait to get a taxi to our hotel. The balcony cabin seemed small when we separated to two twin beds ...

People of New Zealand and Australia could not have been more helpful

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Noordam

We arrived in Auckland 4 days early to enjoy the sights and sounds. Nice small city- easy to walk around. Jump on-off bus service available daily to see the sights and boat trips available round the bay. Lovely clean and fresh feel to the air and warm enough in March! Because I owned up to having a sore throat had to wait 20 minutes for the nurse to reappear. Thought we were not going to be ...

Amazing Itinerary

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Westerdam

Going through the Panama Canal is a bucket list item. I've looked at many cruises going through but most where you go all the way through the canal have such minimal port you visit between and many sea days. We still have a fair number of sea days 7 in total, but a smaller percentage than others. This cruise was different that we spent over a week in the Caribbean before going through the ...

Best Cruise Director, Kieron

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Noordam

I've been on 5 cruises, 4 of them 13 nights or longer and Noordam has the best cruise director, Kieron Humphrey. Kieron could double up as on-board entertainer anytime. I dare say he was a better comedian than some of the featured comedians. He dressed well and sang wonderfully. Made a great trivia/game host too. Christina, the culinary host was fantastic too. She was enthusiastic, organised ...

A little below average! Holland America is slipping.

I will start by saying that I have never been on a cruise that I did not enjoy. We have taken over 40 cruises with 8 different lines. When I write reviews, I tell em as I sees em. We chose this cruise because it started by going to several islands in the Caribbean before entering the Panama Canal. This is very unusual and seldom done by other cruise lines. We had booked two southern ...

First was not going to write a review since ship is doing a transatlantic and then dry dock but after looking over some of the last reviews I thought they were unfair and totally misleading. This was our 9 cruise on five different lines and cruises are a treat and we look forward to them. We are not professional cruisers who looked for minor bad things. Ship had some worn carpet spots nothing ...
