OK... This was our first cruise and this is also my first review. I'm writing this so that other first timers will know what they are getting into.
My fiance and I embarked the Adventure of the Seas at Malaga and despite a little of "where do we go now", the process was smooth and quick. We got on board at midday, when we arrived, instead of the time printed on our tickets of 1pm. I wish we hadn't, none of the rooms were available, so it felt like everyone and their seadogs were sitting in the windjammer. We got a little stressed out since there were no seats and we were faced with the horrifying idea that every meal would be like this (it wasn't in the end). One upside was that we were given a seat next to a lovely Irish couple who we would see throughout the trip and enjoy some drinks with.
However, once we got into the room, everything started going uphill... We had a balcony room (well worth getting, didn't cost us too much as it was a late deal cruise) which was very nicely presented, a little dated but comfortable and clean. Our stateroom attendant really was very good and comes in to clean at least a couple of times a day.
Cabin was great. Loved having the balcony although it got a little smokey at times thanks to our neighbours but we enjoyed the fantastinc views and the dolphins. The bed was big and the bathroom a useable size. We were toward the rear of the ship and so experienced a little vibration due to the engines, we soon got used to it and didn't notice it.
