Just back from a 12 day Carnival Breeze Mediterranean Cruise. First time cruising with Carnival. My wife and I have done around 20 cruises and while not fussy people the cruise was not up to our expectations. The ship itself is very nice but fell short on in a number of areas . One of the highlights of any cruise for me is enjoying a good meal at supper. Most meals that were served lacked flair and were only warm (barely) when they arrived which resulted in us having to keep sending them back. This happened on several occasions.

We bought a wine package which we usually do but found out only 3 days into the cruise that two of the wines ( the best of the ones in the package ) were no longer available but strangely enough our waiter said you could buy them at a bar?? Our Cabin Stewart forgot to make up our room one day. Drawer space is very limited as the drawers are small, slightly larger than a cutlery drawer so only usable for underwear and socks etc. Not a lot of staff on the decks to take drink orders. We had two bathrobes and I assume all cabins did which was a nice touch but some people wore them into the buffet section on the Lido deck and in public areas other than around the pools. Pools are small for 4000 people. Also had a couple of guys wearing toques in the dining room at supper time. Another wearing jeans. These are apparently o.k.Carnival but lacks class in my opinion. Will stick with Royal Caribbean or Princess.

Cabin Review

Cabin was o.k. We had an inside cabin. Bed was comfortable. Could have used more hangers. Nice bathroom and shower. Drawer space was tight as drawers were small. Good for socks etc but nothing larger. Everything else had to be stacked on 3 shelves on top of each other. Had two bathrobes which was a nice touch.
