Had a lovely time on the Costa Atlantica, made all the better by the staff. Boarded in Heraklion at 13:30, had no queues at all, entered terminal and on board within 30 minutes. Noticed long queues late though.

Cabins were 6 level, balcony, we booked 2 cabins with interconnecting door, so we can have kids in one and parents in another. We were upgraded to these cabins, initially we booked 5105 which is an inside cabin at the front of the ship with no window despite it being on the outside, and 5107 which is a balcony with the interconnecting door. No idea why they upgraded us.... we did pass the other cabins on the way to the kids (Squok) club, and they were occupied.

Cabins were spacious and light, beds very comfortable. Air con seemed to be having some trouble but with the door open it was lovely. We sailed with the balcony door open to our cabin a lot, but the kids door locked shut. There is a lock far above small kids reach that we used.

Cabin Review

Cabin B5

Good size cabin, 3 large wardrobes, 2 hanging space and 1 with shelves. Lots of drawers. Plenty of storage, we even put the cases in the wardrobe they were so big.

Extra large bed, plus a sofa bed if needed, beds very comfy and changed every day.

Lots of mirrors, safe, TV, coffee table, phone.

Outer wall to view is 90% glass, with one large opening, not sliding door. Balcony furniture has to be moved around to open and shut door but once open its fine. Glass barrier to approx 4 ft, wooden railing on top which sadly is the exact height of your eyes as you sit in the chairs! Glass needs cleaning...too much varnish has dripped off the wood......obscuring a clear view.

Cabin a few metres from the central glass elevators in the atrium and also 4 normal lifts. easy to get to. Central so not much movement in the ship.

Corridors always quiet, bit of a walk to the front though, but easy for the middle and back which is where the food was!

Our balcony was on the correct side for great land views, check where your ship is going and pick the land side. Other side saw mostly sea.
