Left for our cruise from Baltimore. Our first full day at sea we encountered some rough waters from the hurricane, Rafael, very rocky, and alot of people were sick, It looked like a boatful of drunk people noone could walk a straight line, Saturday, we arrived in Portland, ME. Weather wasn't good, our excursion was a tour of the city, then a schooner ride, the owner of the boat said there wasn't any wind, and it was very foggy, but it was safe if we wanted to still go, everyone decided to give it a try. It was exciting and scary all at the same time, you couldn't see anything, then all of a sudden, there was a lighthouse, we did see a harbor seal while on the boat, my husband got to hoist the sails on the schooner, had a great time. Woke up early in Bar Harbor, it looked like heaven! Blue skies and the colors on the trees were breathtaking! Spent 6 hrs in Acadia National Park and Cadillac Mtn. Had an amazing time! Oct is a perfect time to go and see the spectacular colors! Took hundreds of pictures there, Had a Maine Lobster for lunch which was included in our excursion. This day was the highlight of my trip! I wish I could have spent more time in Bar Harbor. The next day we went to Bay of Fundy in St John, NS. Our excursion was cancelled to do lack of participation so we ended up on a 6hr tour. We lost an hour to time change so everyone was pretty tired on the bus, had a great tourguide, Harold, he pretty much made this trip, otherwise it was pretty boring, Canada wasn;t what I expected it to be, Last stop was Halifax, did the Titanic excursion, started at the maritime museum, which had alot of artifacts from the Titanic, but it was so crowded and didn't feel like there was enough time to see it all, the highlight was going to the gravesite of the people buried there from the ship, the stories about the people were interesting, otherwise a disappointing excursion,

The crew on the ship were great! Our room was always clean, the waiters, were top notch! They couldn't do enough for you! They deserved the tips they received, we prepaid our tips before the cruise, but our waiters in the dining room, Fredderick and Mark from the Phillipines were the best!! We did give them extra for their hard work. The activities director, Darryl was unbelievable! He made the cruise fun. I wanted to try the bungee trampoline but was a little scared, but he took my hand and went with me to try it, Whenever you ran into him on the ship, he would always stop and say hello and give you a hug, even when we got off the ship and the cruise was finished, he still was very friendly! Our last night on the ship was a 70s disco night. Awesome! Had so much fun, hated for the cruise to be over, All in all, we had a marvelous time, would recommend this cruise especially in October when you can get to see the colors of fall.
