What an amazing experience on the Ruby Princess transatlantic!! My biggest fear was the weather and Atlantic sea conditions. Turned out the ocean was as calm as the Caribbean. Tthe ship was sailing full speed (23 knots?) but was amazingly stable the entire cruise. And though some nights were chilly, the sun was out and we were at the pool all 8 sea days.

We booked an obstructed view on sale and were upgraded to a BA balcony. That effectively made it a two for one cruise when considering what we paid for the room we got! Plus the ship was half empty, but fully staffed, so the super friendly crew was tripping over themselves to help. There were tons of empty loungers on all sea days and no lines anywhere.

The food was very good everywhere. We prefer Sabatini's old menu, but it was still incredible to eat in that elegant dining room, watch the sun set over the Atlantic and share the experience with only four other tables. The Anytime Dining worked great for us, but we actually ate a lot of meals in the Cafe Caribe buffet. We were hesitant at first to try buffet food, but the quality was very good.
