I'm going to try and just give you some info that I think could be helpful. Did you know the airlines only allow for two suitcases per person plus one carry-on per person? One of our "carry-ons" was oversized (larger than 9 x 14 x 22) and we were fortunate that they didn't charge us extra. Oh yes, and make sure your suitcases weigh less than 70 pounds! There is an extra charge for being overweight.

We left on the RCI Adventure of the Seas October 20. Got to the pier at about 1:30. Check-in took a total of about 35 minutes from the time that we sat in the "chairs". No big deal. The Bacardi tasting booths are there and you can go get a few shots while you wait. My cousin made the mistake of purchasing several bottles of alcohol at the shop on the pier. Any alcohol you take on board must be in your suitcases or they will take it from you and give it back on the last night. The first couple of days they serve drinks in nice souvenir glasses. Purchase those if you want to start a collection.

Luggage was at our room by 6:00 pm. We had an inside cabin... seems to be worth the money saved. Just use the wake-up call service so you don't oversleep! The boat is huge and I don't think anybody could get seasick. We stopped taking Dramamine on the first day. Read more
