This was probably the best cruise we've taken in the 30 years that we've been cruising. The ship, service and ambiance was excellent. I was a bit leary in booking this cruise because of all the past negative reviews on this website however there was very little that I could fault the cruise line for.

We embarked in Ft. Lauderdale. Got to the port around noon and had to wait an hour and a half to board. Only three Cunard people to check the guests in. Once onboard we went to our cabin and had a chilled bottle of champagne waiting for us! We were automatically upgraded to an A1 category balcony. At first I was furious, because this cabin was at the very front of the ship and I feared that we'd feel the constant movement and pitching of the ship. Not the case at all. Very smooth and quiet cabin. The cabin felt much more luxurious than the Queen Mary 2 cabin we'd had a couple of years ago.

We cruised to New York, let off hundreds of passengers, loaded up many more and continued on to South Hampton. The service onboard was impeccable! Our cabin steward Melanie, was excellent and always had a smile on her face. She kept our cabin spotless and didn't seem to mind that we showered twice if not three times a day!

Cabin BC

Our balcony cabin seemed smaller than the ones we've had on Celebrity, however there was adequate space. Tiny bathroom. Only one person at a time. Our cabin 8004 was at the very front of the ship. Very quiet. Luxurious with designer toiletries.
