We booked this cruise on a package that was too good to refuse. There were six of us altogether, most of whom had cruised before but not on the Virgo. Our cruise was 5 nights, stopping at Redang, Koh Samui and Bangkok. We had booked 3 Balcony class cabins and received $400 food and beverage credit per cabin as part of the package. This was very handy as we ended up not paying anything for drinks or meals for the entire cruise.

We read a few reviews before we left and were warned by our travel agent about how some of the other nationalities behave in board. The reviews are right; some people are very pushy (especially when getting on/off tender boats), can be rude and at the buffet you feel like its feeding time at the zoo. It helps to know this may happen before you go and prepare yourself for it. However, we found that the majority of people on board were very nice, friendly and polite.

The ship itself is amazing. It's modern but with a distinct Asian theme. The staff are fabulous; incredibly friendly, accommodating and always smiling. They make you feel welcome straight away. We had no problems at all during the trip, everything was organised extremely well by the staff.
