We loved our Azamara cruise to Southeast Asia back in 2011 and could hardly wait to get back on board. The Officers of this cruise line really make every effort to be present, visible and interested. In fact, one officer not only found our lost camera but recognized us right after embarking and brought it to us in the lobby (we initially denied it!). We heard from another passenger that he had dropped hundreds of dollars at the security station and they found him as well.
Anyway, the Quest is a smaller ship so it can navigate up rivers and dock right in town or close to it. We loved staying so close to Lisbon, Bordeaux and Seville. The entertainment on Azamara has really improved, and right now we think it is the finest on any ship we've been on. They are doing some very interesting things with video, dance and vocals. Educational offerings were very good as well. Food was exceptional. Finally, Azamara frequently stays in port 2 nights or days and this provides a much more relaxing and interesting cruise experience: you really get to know the city and can go back to a shop or church for a second look, so rare in the cruise world! Thank you for a wonderful cruise Azamara, we can't wait to come back!
The cabins on this ship are a little smaller than some, but the great entertainment and educational offerings keep you busy. We did find the shower a bit small.
