Harmony V Classical Greek Cruise by Variety Cruise is FANTASTIC!. My husband and I celebrated my 60th birthday with a trip to Greece. We had never been on a cruise and knew that we had no interest in a large or mid-size ship. Everything about this cruise turned out perfect – the staff & crew, the service, the ship, the itinerary – it was all flawless.

The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. Joseph, the cruise director was a highlight everyday with his informative and entertaining guides and reports and we always enjoyed the excursions that he led. He patiently took care of every detail and has a great sense of humor. Spiros, the “hotel” manager and his staff were very efficient. Cabins were cleaned twice a day and the restaurant/bar service was perfect. The food on board was as good as any on the islands that we visited - Daily buffet breakfast with an egg/omlette station, buffet lunches & dinners and 2 plated 5 course meals. The captain and crew were very experienced and provided regular updates about weather and sea conditions.

The ship holds a maximum of 50 people which provided the opportunity to travel to islands that can’t accommodate large cruise ships. The rooms are not large because of the size of the ship but they are quite comfortable. We had a room with twin beds with plenty of storage room and a bathroom that was small but not confining. The dining room, bar and outside deck area are well maintained with plenty of room to accommodate all the guests. The itinerary allowed plenty of time to see the islands and we stayed at port at many locations through the evening so that we could have dinner and enjoy the nightlife. It was great fun to have swim stops in coves along the way on various days. We never felt rushed with any of the schedule. Read more
