Our first surprise was that just before we left home, we were notified that we were upgraded to a balcony! I think we're now spoiled! Next surprise was that we went to the cabin before muster drill to find someone had placed our luggage inside. We've NEVER gotten our luggage before 9:00 or 10:00! Our Cruise Critic group met informally after the muster for a sailaway get together. That was lots of fun. We returned to our cabin to find a letter from the Concierge that we were invited to have breakfast and lunch in Cagney's. Why we were chosen, we don't know, but we enjoyed starting our day there!

Day 2, sea day, we had our official Meet and Greet, followed by a cabin crawl and poker run. Then we decided to go swim. We were delighted to find a chair lift had been installed at the pool in the year since we were last on this ship. We inquired about use of it, and after a bit were advised the seas were too rough to use the lift. No problem, we found something else to do!

Day 3, sea day, we returned to the pool. Here it gets amusing (we find life much better to get amused rather than get angry as situations), We asked about using the lift .... no one on the crew could find the battery! This made it all the way up to the Hotel Director! We had the Cruise Director, her assistants, and several others trying to figure how to get me into the pool. Getting in isn't the problem. Getting out is! Again, we found something else to do. That evening delicious appetizers were delivered to our cabin, compliments of the Hotel Director.

Cabin Review

This wheelchair accessible balcony cabin was perfect for us. We kept the curtains open at night to be awakened by the sunrise, or the scenery in a new port. A tip we started doing several cruises ago, is that we put mardi gras beads on our cabin door so we can find it easily. The beads proved beneficial to our neighbors, who thanked us for helping them find their way too!
