We took an Eastern Caribbean Cruise for Holy Week (April 12-19) and had a wonderful time! The ship is nice, with many amenities: Lounge bars, a wonderful coffee bar, pools, water slides for kids and a Video Arcade we enjoyed with them. What really stands out though, is the dining and service. The food was VERY GOOD all around: the Buffet Station had a lot of variety as did the Wok Station (with shrimp, beef, squid and chicken), the Pizza Station at the back was GREAT and the Deli had your all-time favorites (Salmon and bagels, Rubens, Tuna). The all-day Ice cream pumps seem to be EVERYONES favorite, with either cones or dishes! They also offer Frozen Yogurt. The service in these areas was impeccable! I congratulate the Service Manager as he was always there, looking around and keeping his people aware of everything. The Cabins are pleasantly decorated and the Stewards were very serviceable and extremely nice. The Dining Room service was excellent and the Maître d’ and Managers were very accommodating to our group of eight. The Hostess on this cruise was excellent. She had everyone entertained and was very enjoyable! The ports of call were well selected: besides Gran Turks, we visited Bahamas and just loved the stop at St. Thomas and San Juan, Puerto Rico! The people at these ports are amiable, we felt safe walking around and Old San Juan is simply beautiful!! Do take the Bacardi-City Tour! It gives you an overall view of the famous Bacardi rum plant, the Condado area and Old San Juan government buildings. Definitely recommend this cruise and itinerary!
