We finally found the time to take a cruise in Eastern Europe. After some research we chose Viking River Cruises as their ships were mostly new, the pricing was good, the sales rep in California sent any and all information that I requested, and all of my questions were answered promptly. Overall, the cruise was good. But there were some issues and I’ll break the cruise down as follows.
The Good
The ship, the Njord, was very well appointed and the crew was very attentive to our every need. Our original ship, the Hlin was held up by a defective river lock on the Danube, so the Njord was substituted. When we arrived in Nuremburg, Germany to board, I don’t think anyone complained about the switch.
