After spending our 25th wedding anniversary on The Pride Of America we were over the moon with this cruise so we thought why not go to Alaska and do the cruise back to Vancouver something on most peoples bucket list. Once again we had a balcony room and like the other ship it was the same inside but this is where it ends. The buffet restaurant was the first place we went to the first night for dinner and Breakfast the next morning and the first thing we noticed was the lack of variety but for the next six nights it was basically the same with may be a change or two and not to mention running out of some food as well towards the end of the trip.The restaurants that you payed a cover charge were better but the ones that were on the complementary list the food was good but really who do you have to kill to get a drink with your meal.Basic restaurant rule's sit the customer down give them the menu take the drink order while they are looking at the menu IT"S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE NCL you are loosing money by not doing this.We had breakfast one morning in one of these places and had to explain four time that we wanted four slices of toast not french toast to the waitress who's command of the English language was not great don't get me wrong here service was great but please.The carpet in some place was thread bare and the linen looked old the whole ship looked tired.But the staff were friendly and helpful but I am sad to say I would not recommend this ship to my friends or family and I was not the only person on board not happy with the cruise or the ship also the time in port was not long enough
