We travelled from Scotland to enjoy a cruise with Carnival but had wished we had stayed at home. This was our 14th cruise (normally RCL) and after this one felt it could be the last. The service on the ship was the worst we have experienced, the entertainment was as bad and the food dreadful. Our cabin steward was the only one working on the ship as far as we could see. Normally the service on cruise ships is second to none, not on the Liberty ---- no one wanted to get us a drink,, it was dire. The Lido had the most disgusting smell of greasy food and the food itself was grim. As for the entertainment , the band playing by the casino were quite good but the smoke from the casino was overpowering, you were allowed to smoke while playing at the tables or the machines but some were smoking at the bar and in the lounge area. Staff witnessed this but said nothing. The two young barmen in the Sports bar were nice and friendly but that was that!!!!!!! My husband asked me what I would do if I won a holiday on the ship, my answer was give to someone I didn't like - it was that bad. This was a cheap cruise compared with RCL but we now know you get what you pay for. The ports of call were very forgettable , Belize - we were told nothing to see and dangerous to go into the city on your own ( well why did we dock there, to go on an trip of course !!! Never Never again.
Cabin was nice pity about the cruise !!!!!!!!
