We have cruised on the Princess ships several times and have always enjoyed the ships. The Regal was not designed well. It has no stairs in the middle and the ones on the end don't go all the way up or down. We would come to dead ends often and found many others that did the same, With no stairs everyone had to take the elevators. That made them way over crowded. You would have to wait for a long time to go up or down one floor. Being in the middle of the ship we would have to walk to the front or back to use the stairs then walk back to the middle. Very poor planning.

Also, the entertainment on the ship was not up to the same caliber that the other ships we have been on have been. The food in the dining rooms was just Okay. There was a very long wait between courses and the meal would last 1 1/2 to 2 hours. When you come off a busy day of sight seeing you just didn't want to set that long, so we used the Horizon court instead. The food there was good, but nothing to get excited about.

The service we received from the crew was probably some of the best we have encountered since they changed the tipping system. Our room steward was very good. Read more
