My boyfriend and I enjoyed our 5-day cruise on the Carnival Liberty. I was glad I listened to others reviews that said to bring a flashlight and also a refillable bottle for water on the shore excursions (you can fill it up near the 24hour iced tea/water stations where they have the buffets.)

I brought a nightlight, but to my dismay there was only one single outlet to plug anything into in the stateroom. So the flashlight came in handy for the middle-of-the-night bathroom trips. My boyfriend used his tablet to serve as an alarm for our early morning shore excursions (there are no clocks in the room) and also the tablet could provide "white noise" which helps us to sleep. There was a hair dryer in the drawer of the stateroom "bedroom" area, so don't panic like I did when you don't see it in the bathroom! Consider bringing a clock or other things that use batteries instead of needing to be plugged in.

I found that carrying handy wipes to the buffet dining area helpful. During the busy rush times, the staff can't keep up with clearing and wiping all the tables so I could just wipe them myself with the wipes which also can clean your hands when sticky. There are no paper napkins available anywhere to wipe a table with.

The cabin is tiny, of course. Could have used more than one outlet, but I guess they don't want you to overload their system. Mattress was alright, slept well. Really needs updating. Don't know what they were thinking with pink plastic ceiling molding. Clashed with the wooden closets which were nice and held all of our clothes and even our empty suitcases. Wish they had free wi-fi! It was tough going a week without a phone or being able to check email.
