Sail Date: Sep 2014

We sailed from Venice to Barcelona. Aqua class was worth the extra, dining in Blu for breakfasts and dinner for a lighter and smaller venue and location of the suite made it worthwhile. We had excellent service throughout. I found the buffet a little overwhelming and chose to have light lunch at Aqua Spa cafe.

Activities were good, the entertainment was okay. Did not really enjoy the band with the exception of the pool deck party night and the Beatles show. Dancing in the Sky lounge with DJ was fun. The lawn club is a nice option and we enjoyed playing Bocce. It is a mature crowd and very relaxing, with a busy itinerary. Embarkation and disembarkation well managed. We visited Florence and Rome prior to the cruise and were glad we did, since the travel time at ports would have limited what you could do. We did Cinque Terre excursion instead of Florence, lovely spot. In Salerno we took a ferry to Positano and cab and bus return it was an amazing day. Our suite was 1628 which was a great location, beds are very comfortable. Overall, the cruise exceeded my expectations.
