Loved the trip! the Njord was clean, pretty, and comfortable. A great cabin with a balcony, a very comfortable bed, nifty shower- all made it hard to leave that space. Fortunately there were plenty of reasons to leave it, starting with super breakfasts every day. Eat at the buffet in the dining room, or eat a lighter breakfast up on the forward deck. Then make use of the walking track before leaving the boat on your own mission of exploration or on the guided trip of the day. We did both, wandering around some places on our own and taking many of the guided tours. All the guides spoke excellent English, and as far as we could tell were quite well-informed. Plus, most of them were fun!

Passau was a great place to start our trip. Could have spent weeks in this neat, friendly, pretty city. Bratislava was fun- be nice to spend more time there. Vienna we could have skipped- the morning tour of the city was boring, partly because of our guide (the exception). We did wish we had taken the extra three days at the end of our trip to stay in Budapest. (Hopefully our next trip will start in Budapest!)

The staff and crew were very friendly - dining room service was superb! Food was excellent and plentiful Watching the countryside go by from the bow or the upper deck was fabulous. It was a great trip!!

Cabin Review

Our cabin had a real balcony. It was wonderful to be able to sit out there and watch the world go by, day and night!
