Having been on a river cruise before we knew how good everything was when previously went on the Rhine river cruise the year before ,this time we went with friends that we had recommended the holiday to and by the second day they found it was all we said it was and they were ready to book for the next one which we all had have done so for 2015.There is a very warm welcome from the moment you arrive, the luggage is put into your room ,paperwork sorted out quickly, refreshments are usually waiting and shown to a very comfortable cabin. The daily tours are very good with local guides having good knowledge of the areas and a sense of humour and fun while looking after everyone. When coming back aboard drink and snack waiting on trays by staff greeting you back.More excursions if you want to on most days.

The food is excellent with breakfast being a help yourself hot and cold buffet and menu for especially cooked food ,wait staff quick and helpful bring beverages and meals if wanted to table, also invent your own omelettes cooked in front of you , big choice of beverage , yogurts, fruit ,bread , pastries, meats hot and cold, eggs ,cereals etc and local foods of which country you are in .Lunch can be 3 courses or a salad , sandwich whatever you like , lots of choice Dinner is 3 course meal with 3 or more choices of each course ,beer, wine keeps getting topped up if you liked , very good food and presentation , Good organising ,clear instructions, local entertainment, quiz , music most evenings, couldn't wish for more.

Cabin Review

Cabin 5 star

This cabin was at the lowest deck and right next to crew cabins ,a long way to walk with lots of stairs which we didn't realize when booked ,we paid extra to move into a lovely cabin on top deck which was very nice and comfortable with a great views especially when we were in Budapest which was magnificent at night and beautiful by day. The only downside was sometimes when docking another Viking boat would dock alongside and we would have to close the curtains for privacy as we could see into each others cabins.
