Our two nights at the Sofitel Hotel in Budapest were delightful. it was a great experience and jumping off point for our explorations on the Pest side of the city. The staff and Viking rep were very accommodating for our every need. Our transfers (airport to hotel, hotel to ship, ship to airport) were smooth and went off without a hitch.

From the moment of embarkation on the Kara, to the final fond farewell, we were thrilled with this trip. The possibilities were endless, and we were fortunate to be able to participate with such an enthusiastic and well informed crew! The views, the information, the food, the sites...one cannot say enough good! The cabin was well appointed and a great comfortable space to return to after an outing, a tour, a meal, or hanging out topside. We were treated like old friends from the first day aboard this luxurious craft. Our cabin steward never failed to refit our cabin will all the necessities and amenities, as if with a magic wand!

The walking tours and optional tours that were offered were very well planned, with a little something for everyone! They were educational and fascinating. We were brought to tears by the beauty of the concert we attended.

Cabin Review

Fabulous space and comfort. Loved the balcony for the views and relaxation. We never heard a single noise from within the ship when we were in our cabin.
