We were very please with our cruise on the Norwegian Jewel. We traveled with our parents, another couple and most importantly our two year old. I was very please that the ship was a younger crowd and one that would not mind a toddler rubbing shoulder (ankles) with them. We stayed in the 3 bedroom Garden Villa and were treated very well. The embarkation process was extremely smooth as there was priority embarkation and debarkation with the suite. This is the only way to do it with kids. The service was also very top notch, especially for the price of the cruise and the crew/passenger ratio. The dining set up was also very conducive to having our son on board along with the fact that we are very non committal when it comes to when and where we have to be. The itinerary of the ship was fantastic and threw in a couple of days at sea which are needed when you really want to relax. We did not do any of the shore excursion through the ship. The atmosphere on the ship was fun and lively and service matched that. I would definitely recommend.
I was extremely happy with the priority everything the ship offered. We have been on several cruises and Norwegian has is down with how to treat those in their suites. From the priority embarkations and debarkation, to the private swim area, to the reserved seating at shows and dinners. We felt that we were being catered to left and right on the ship. The courtyard was great with our 2 year old since we could let him play in that or get in the hot tub without bothering anyone. Also the view from the upper deck was great along with the view form the family room overlooking the pool. The only drawback to the whole room is the color pallet/ scheme is a little too circus feeling instead of feeling classy and nice. The bar area could stand to be a little larger as we were constantly having to call of drinks. They did finally just bring a large cooler with ice, which we were totally fine with. can't get enough Diet Coke ;-) Overall very happy with the room and would do again.
