We've cruised a few times in the past, most often with Carnival, and Port Canaveral has been relatively easy to get in/out. We spent the night, prior to sailing, at the Comfort Inn, in Cocoa Beach and used their "park and cruise" program, saving quit a bit on parking. Transportation provided was not uncomfortable and the trip to the pier took about 15 minutes (some passengers were dropped off at another ship). Pleasantly surprised that it only took about 15 minutes from the time we got off the bus until we were on the Lido deck (9). The ship left port close to the scheduled departure time and we did manage to see a few dolphins close to the inlet.

As mentioned by an earlier review, there was an unusual vibration which we felt was centered on the Lido deck. So, other than in the "eating" area of deck 9, it wasn't noticeable.

While onboard, we did watch a couple movies at the "Dive in Theatre" and shared some free popcorn. We also took in a couple of the stage shows (if you've seen one, you've seen them all), the singers were good.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Cabin 6C

Identical to all Ocean view cabins, there was enough room for the two of us, the wheelchair, and a large suitcase. Curtains always seem to be a pain in the butt to open/close, and I've never figured out the "couch" in the cabin. It's too deep to sit comfortably on, and if it's used as a bed, for a third person (?), a sheet on vinyl would be really uncomfortable. It does hold a large suitcase well, and other items not worth storing in drawers or closets. No bad smells, as in some reviews. There was a mirror, that when the light shone on it in a certain way, it looked as if someone had sneezed on it, but that was cleared up. Our steward, Michael, made certain he introduced himself, and even called us by name if we met in the passageway. I'll never know how someone is able to do that!
