Traveled with children

We booked a 2 week Mediterranean cruise for 2 adults and 2 children (13 and 8) sleeping in one family cabin with a balcony. The bed option was a double bed and a sofa bed.

Embarkation at Southampton was very smooth.

When we were able to access our cabin, we were disappointed. The room was small – we were prepared for that as we appreciate space is a premium on a cruise ship. However… there was a chair on the balcony that was broken, the carpet was threadbare, the cabin units were badly chipped and scratched, the sofa had some very dubious stains on it, there were stains on the sink, about a 7cm crack on the plastic shower enclosure and a urine stained toilet seat. It was also very dusty. When we opened a drawer, there was a dirty fork inside.
