The Buri is a beautiful ship with a wonderful staff. Every meal was a great experience and the service was excellent. The Rhone river is another story. The river has a muddy brown color the entire length of the cruise and was overloaded with branches, trees, logs and trash the first 3 days out of Avignon. If there was anything to see along the waterway you'll never know for the river banks on both sides are lined with tall densely populated trees. Then there are the 11 locks that can take hours to navigate due to heavy river traffic. Lyon was a beautiful city with much to do and see. The rest of the days were spent in quite ordinary towns with little or nothing of significance. We had one tour guide take us to a very ordinary town hall and then to the post office as highlights of her town. It was almost laughable. We have been on many river cruises in Europe and each one has been a terrific experience, unfortunately, the Rhone river is not one of them.
