2 years ago I did Viking Nuremberg to Budapest Christmas Markets. What a great trip. This year I did Amsterdam to Basel. Disappointing. The first two days,... no Christmas Markets. This should not be part of a trip touted as Christmas Markets, On day 5 we were supposed to go to Heidelberg & Speyer. Never any mention of Speyer, it just vanished and so did its Christmas Market. I understand the Christmas Market in Basel was the best one on the trip, but if you didn't do the extension, you never saw it. This trip should include it. Also, last time we had so much fun on the ship. It was so Christmasey. This time, not a lot of piped in Christmas Music and vertually no activities compared to last time. I complained to Caspar the social director and he said people do their own thing, I said I didn't not pay all this money to watch TV or read. I could have done that at home. After that we had a good French singer and played Christmas Trivia one night, nice. His idea of entertainment was a lecture every other night. Not fun. And the food wasn't as good as last time. Since when is Chateaubriand two slices of beef over French Fries with gravy? Sorry, as a whole, I was disappointed in this trip. There were good moments and enjoyable times, but nothing compared to my last trip with Viking.

Cabin Review

Cabin Cruise Sleeping

Our room was quite nice and cleaned daily. When we asked for an extra pillow we received it right away. Very attentive
