My husband and I had celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and had finally decided after speaking with other people about cruises, that we would book one. The ease and helpfulness of our agent made it painless. As we are wintering in South Carolina we decided to drive to Ft. Lauderdale to meet the Carnival Legend the day before we were to sail. We stayed at a Comfort Inn just off the #95 and found it quite reasonably priced and clean. We made our way on Saturday morning to Everglades Terminal and found it quite easily.

The embarkation process was quick and easy and all of the Carnival staff were friendly and helpful. We found our cabin with ease, left our luggage and went exploring. With the ship deck plans posted everywhere, it was not a problem finding our way around. We had a drink on the Lido deck and then made our way to our cabin to unpack. Dinner in the main dining room was incredible the whole trip, and our Head Waiter, Bosco from India, made us feel special. Show time in our dining room was a delight. To see all of the dining staff singing and dancing was just too funny. We made some friends while dining and continued to see them at other events on the ship through out the week.

Our cabin was more than we had ever expected. Roomy, bright and spotlessly clean each and every day. What a thrill to come back to our room each night to find our towel animal with my husband's sunglasses on. Many pictures were taken of these little gems. What most impressed us was the amount of activities that would go on each day and there was something for everyone. You could be as lazy as you wanted to be, or as busy. During our trip, a passenger took very ill and we had to return to Puerto Limon, Costa Rica. We were an hour and half from port and our ship made it back very quickly. Our Captain, Roberto Volpi had explained to us why we were turing around and continued to keep us posted on this persons well being. I do hope that this person is continuing to be well. We still arrived at our next port, Belize City on time, so no one had been inconvenienced. The ship itself is incredibly beautiful and very well maintained. Constantly we would see people cleaning, polishing, and painting and at no time was it disruptive to any of the passengers.
