Sail Date: Mar 2015

We went with a group of 60 or so. Vast majority were first timers with the exception of our travel agent, her assistant and their husbands. The ship was just great. Beautiful and nostalgic. The staff overall did a good job. Igor, the main bartender was just great. Slybert, also did a great job. Room stewards did a great job as well. We especially liked that you could order a bottle of wine, and if you did not finish it, they would tag it and you could finish it the next night. I thought that was very innovative in lieu of a beverage package, gave you more options than only ordering house wines and cut down on the waste. Weather, good or marginal, was what it was and gave you the romance of the high seas. The activities were ample and diverse both on the ship and off. At meals, our people were segregated to one side of the dining room. Talk about squashing that aura of meeting other travelers. The only problem was that food poisoning afflicted a number of our group. After just a couple of days in, the first cases started and rippled through our group; eventually taking probably more than 20%, even on their way home. It was not the flu and not motion sickness. You could never pinpoint where you contracted it. But, trying to be fair, we just felt we contracted it on ship.
