This was our 7th cruise (5th on Carnival). We took this cruise as a long weekend get away and it was perfect. I will be brief with the details. We flew into Orlando and had prebooked a sedan to take us to the hotel. We got the car through Florida Tours and were very pleased with their service. We came in a day early and stayed at the Radisson Resort at the Port (this was our 3rd stay there). I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff is great as are the amenities. You can call them in advance and get set up for the shuttle you want to take to the port. We were on the 10:30 a.m. shuttle and on the ship by noon. This ship underwent updates a few years ago and it looks great. Yes, purple is the predominate color but the ship itself doesn't show it's age. We only ate in the dining room one night but it was very good and the service was great. Only saw one show too - the last night - and I've got to say that the sets and costumes as well as the caliber of talent was excellent. Yes, some of the dancer's outfits expose their buttocks but hey, if I had a butt like that.... well anyway, I was not offended and rather impressed with the show. I had a spa treatment and was pleasantly surprised by the updated spa room. Yes, my technician asked me about purchasing products after my treatment but when I said I wasn't interested, did not push it. On Nassau, we booked direct with Stuart Cove's a snorkel trip for $42 per person. We went to 3 spots, the first at Goulden Caye was an excellent spot - great marine life. The second was basically a sunken plane but the third was outstanding - we snorkeled with reef sharks! They got within a couple of feet of us. It was amazing. Debarkation was smooth - crowded - but that's to be expected. Our car was waiting for us when we got off the ship so other than not wanting it to be over, life was good. I would high recommend this ship and this cruise for first timers to get their feet wet with cruising or anyone just wanting a quick get away!
