We booked an advertised "Special Sailing" at the Costa Fortuna from San Juan to San Juan from 12/25/07 to 01/01/08. Embarkation was slow and no information or greeting were said to us. They directed us to the room to get our key cards. The ship is a replica of Carnivals Destiny with different decorations. Food at the Pool deck was awful, specially the coffee and iced tea, and there was no variety. They served the same breakfast the 7 days. Service at the dinning room was slow and food was not as expected. Midnight snacks were not found, only pizza which was not as expected. Entertainment was excellent at different bars and all the shows were great. The Cruise Director and Entertainers were great with passengers all through the cruise. The ports we visited (St. Martin, Tortola, Grand Turks and Ft. Lauderdale)were great and had a good time there. New Years Eve party was great and we had a great time. Debarkation was fast, since we were a special sailing they took us down directly to the baggage area. I must say the cruise did not meet our expectations, we had cruised before with Costa (and other cruise lines)and expected more attention and better service.
