We had travelled before on Superstar Gemini & Virgo. If you have travelled these two ships DO NOT TRY THIS ONE What a let down. Many Aussies patronize the Superstar Line & because of our previous experiences we were really looking forward to this trip. Ship very old & tired. Buckled decks. Rust in pool. Carpet not flush in common areas. This was a three & four day cruise which we joined together to make 7 days. Boarding...Was like boarding a ferry service. As it turned out that's all this cruise was. Mini Suite Cabin...Broken Drawers & not much wardrobe space. Light in wardrobe never went out. Consequently we had a comfort light coming through the door joints for the whole cruise. Dining Menu was repeated for all meal types. Morning/Afternoon teas were cheap & misely looking. Liquor expensive. A $15.00 Aus bottle of wine cost over $40.00. Alternate dining expensive. Dinner... Dining in the main restaurant was informal. Some passengers dressed up while others were in shorts & sandals. Buffet was abysmal. Hygiene standards were the poorest I have seen in all my years of travel. No facilities to clean hands near this outlet except the toilet. Children coughing into food. A shocker.

Entertainment..Same show more than once. Topless cabaret show $40. Chinese acrobats, dancers were excellent.

Excursions...Our trips were excellent & reasonably priced. However on one bus there were passengers who had their bags stolen. There was no customer service recovery from the shipping line until complaints were made.

Cabin Review
