The cruise was brilliant. Avalon's organisation was superb. We had a French balcony room that was very comfortable. The shower was very efficient and didn't steam up the mirrors. The bed had foam toppers on which made it very cosy. The food was varied with a good choice of wines in the evenings. The boat was kept in pristine condition by a very hard working crew. The tours were great and Avalon groups were usually the first to arrive which meant no crowds of people. Added to this was wonderful weather and to walk around Monet's garden first thing in the morning with a deep blue sky was extra special. Only one minus - the end of the cruise. We had a late flight and from the minute we left the ship we felt abandoned. Although we were taken to the Pullman Hotel, we were not allowed in the room that new guests were in. No drinks were provided and we were left to our own devices. We thought this was a shame and a bad experience for the end of a delightful cruise.
