Viking gives you a discount on airfare when you book a cruise with them, but watch out. They arrange things by computer, so the itinerary they give you features impossible connections (which can only be changed by paying extra fees) and 5 hour waits in CDG airport so they can pack everyone on one bus and not have keep picking people up all day. In the process, we missed one of our two days in Prague because we didn't arrive until the evening.
The ship, itself, was nice and everything in the cabin worked. The service and food on the ship were great. The shore excursions were variable, from a great local tour guide in Prague to a scatterbrained young German student in Bamberg, who gave us the wrong information. The overall tour director was defensive when you asked him a question. The younger staff didn't see why we needed a bathroom break after drinking several cups of coffee at breakfast and walking around the city for hours.
The Pullman Hotel in Paris was next to the Eiffel Tower and had a decent free breakfast, but I can't say anything else good about it. The plumber and hotel maintenance men didn't know what they were doing and everything mechanical in the room was falling apart. We had to endure cold showers in the morning, but endured this rather than pay a steep upgrade fee.
No complaints about the cabin, food, or service onboard.
