We embarked in Hong Kong on a 7 night cruise, halfway through what was actually a 14 night cruise from Singapore to Tokyo. The majority of passengers had embarked in Singapore.

We stayed for 3 nights pre-cruise at the Hotel Benito in TST Hong Kong. We took the airport bus for about 4.00 cad almost to the doorstep. On embarkation day, we took a taxi from the hotel as the Kai Tak cruise ship terminal is not yet served by public transport.

Embarkation was smooth. We always check in as late as possible so as to maximize our time in whatever city we are in, and this was no exception. We checked in with no waiting at all at about 4 pm. Read more
