Sweet Music from Anthem

Whereas Quantums leap was more hysterical than historical, there was Sweet Music when Anthem was introduced to the world. What a difference from Quantum's maiden entrance. Don't get me wrong. Both Quantum & Anthem are beautiful ships but whereas there were many many issues & problems with IT & technology on Quantum, RCI had learned from their mistakes (and us guinea pigs) & I couldn't find much to moan about on Anthem. Things seemed to run very smoothly which meant that the crew were not stressed & frustrated as they were on Q and unlike Q, Anthem was a very happy ship.

Check in at Southampton was a breeze. It took up to 2 hours with Q but only 10 minutes on A & we were snacking in Windjammer in 20. Disembarkation went just as smoothly. We ate in all the complimentary restaurants & our reservations were not shuffled or lost as on Q. The seas were calm & gentle & most times you couldn't even tell you were sailing on the high seas. OK, the weather could have been warmer but nothing can be done about that.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D4

Plenty of room, drawers & wardrobe hanging space. Tea & coffee making facilities provided (unlike Quantum) & toiletries were provided without being requested. Ice provided all through the day.
